The experts talked in detail about the admission process, eligibility criteria, fee, placement process, recruitment companies, salaries and posts offered, among others. The experts talked in detail about the admission process, eligibility criteria, fee, placement process, recruitment companies, salaries and posts offered, among others. Here is an edited excerpt of the conversation:

Q: Can you share the scope of career in MBA SCM and Logistics?

A: Supply chain is one of the fastest growing sector in the country with a high demand for skilled professionals. It is an industry-led course that allows students to get hands-on experience. Every manufacturing company, today, relies on SCM and Logistics to reduce cost and make better profit. So, the scope for a student studied MBA in SCM and Logistics is strong.

Q: What is the eligibility criteria one must fulfill before applying for the course?

A: One must have a graduation degree with minimum 50 per cent score. And, qualifying exams that we expect are:

  • Minimum score of 500 in MAT/GMAT, or
  • A score of 75 per cent in CAT/XAT

If you have not appeared for any of the qualifying exam or have not cleared the same, then you can appear for Amity’s written exam on the day of interview.

Q: Which companies visit during the placement drive to the institute? Could you elaborate on the posts offered and package details?

A: We have a dedicated in-house placement cell offering complete placement assistance with internship done by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Companies such as Reliance, GATI, Future Supply Chain Solutions, TVS Logistics, Ecom Express, Flipkart, SS Supply Chain have visited campus and have offered packages between Rs 5-8 lakh per annum.

Q: What are your competencies that makes MBA with Amity different from any other B-School?

A: We are an industry-led academic institution. At CII Institute of Logistics we create a platform for the industry to gain more insights into the emerging trends, industry specific problems of national importance and global best practices in logistics & supply chain management. We enable the industry to cut down the transaction cost, increase efficiency, and enhance profitability and enable to sensitise and bring solutions to macro level issues. Apart from this, we believe in competency-based learning approach.

We have best-in-class placement cell, industry support for internship, weekly guest lectures, and focus on practical knowledge. Internships and placements are supported by CII's strong industry network. We work hard to make you Industry ready and prepare for a unique career.

The next session commences from July 17 and August 5 for Noida and Mumbai campus, respectively. We also offer part time weekend executive programme.

Q: What is the total cost of programme? Do you offer Hostel facility? If yes, then what is the fee for the same?

A: The cost of the two-year programme is nearly Rs 8 lakh. And, yes we do offer hostel facility.

For Noida campus:

  • A/C Hostel fee is Rs 1,60,000
  • Non A/C Hostel fee is Rs 85,000

For Mumbai campus:

  • A/C Hostel fee is Rs 1,10,000
  • Non A/C Hostel fee is Rs 65,000

Q: Is there any scholarship programme?

A. Yes, We do offer scholarships up to 100 per cent basis merit results.

Yes, you can apply for B.Pharm even if you are a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) student and do not have Mathematics.
