SIBM Bengaluru has helped me a lot to manage time more efficiently than ever before, says Aishwarya Swamy

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2019 was for 2 hours, and it had 3 sections. But this year, the exam pattern has changed. I had prepared for CAT, XAT, and SNAP during 2019 intending to convert to any of the top B schools in India.

I chose Science as my stream in 12th class, as I wanted to understand the applications of this stream in all aspects possible. MBA happened to be at the right time and right place. I was encouraged by my parents, and sister to study in a B school. I decided to pursue MBA as I also thought it would be a life-changing experience and learning opportunity for me.

I joined SIBM Bengaluru in July 2020. This institute has a homecoming vibe with extremely supportive students and faculty. It is located in Bengaluru. This gives an extra elevation to the institute and the institute can take pride in it. The programs offered by SIBM Bengaluru have data analytics in every course. The facilities provided to students all through the year are beneficial in the overall development of a student. One highlighting factor about SIBM Bengaluru is that this institute focuses on imparting an analytical thinking ability to students by offering data analytics across all specializations. We follow the motto of “ management education with a quantitative difference”.

I attended classes for CAT at IMS Malleshwaram and attempted most of the mock series that they provided to us.
IMS is doing a great job of coaching the aspirants. I cleared the cut-offs for a bunch of institutes with my SNAP scores and began my preparation for interviews.

The Corporate Relations and Placement Committee provides various corporate engagements to students like live projects, summer internships, guest sessions, and final placements. SIBM-Bengaluru placement records have been observed to follow an increasing trend every year. The average package for the final placement as per 2019 is 10.26 LPA while the median and the highest package offered are 10.25 LPA and 25 LPA respectively. The institute has a blend of freshers and students with work experience, and thus promotes diversity. Our institute provides a state-of-the-art Bloomberg Lab for financial data, and other platforms like Prowess and CMIE for live market data.

I am a part of the Admissions and IT Committee of SIBM Bengaluru. I am also a part of Saaz, the Music Club. There are a plethora of opportunities for students to learn, grow, and reconstruct themselves. Art in every form is encouraged by SIBM Bengaluru. I must say, this institute has helped me a lot to manage time more efficiently than ever before.
