The NTA yesterday announced that the CMAT 2021 exam will be conducted on March 31. Announcement made just a week ahead of the exam has led to a lot of worry among the aspirants. Many students feel that conducting the CMAT exam at such a short notice is unfair. Many students have their university exam on the same day, while some have taken leave to visit their home towns for Holi festival on March 29.
Soon after the announcement of CMAT 2021 exam date yesterday (March 22) candidates took to Twitter to express their concern and request the DG, NTA to reconsider the exam date. Many students from Maharashtra found the exam date unfair as the state is reeling under high COVID-19 cases and partial lockdown, etc. The students have asked for exam date to be delayed by second week of April.
The CMAT 2021 exam was scheduled to be originally conducted on February 22 and 27, but was postponed following addition of an optional subject in the exam pattern. On February 12, the NTA announced postponement of CMAT 2021 until last week of March or first week of April. It announced the new exam date after more than a month on March 22.
