Since, a large number of candidates appear for CMAT, it is even more important to have an exam day strategy beforehand. CMAT 2024 exam will be held on May 15, 2024. With the exam day approaching soon, make a last week preparation plan accordingly. Most importantly, do not pick up any topic which is still untouched. Last Week Preparation Tips to Ace CMAT 2024
A week before CMAT 2024 exam, you need to focus on a few things such as:

Daily Revision
In the last week before CMAT 2024 exam, you cannot revise all the topics in detail. So, what you need to do is, list down the important topics from which questions are more likely to be asked. By the last week of CMAT exam 2024, you would have already prepared well for all the topics and main concepts. You may have also done enough practice of sample questions to know the application of theorems and formulae well. So, now what needs to be done is revision of the very same concepts that are your strong points.
Spend about two hours in revision daily and make notes while revising so that concepts and theorems are etched in your mind.
One Final CMAT Mock Test
Practice one full-length CMAT mock test in the last week before the exam. This is not meant to seriously evaluate the performance or preparation level but to boost your confidence of handling a speed based test. Don’t worry if you don’t score well in the final mock test. Note down the areas where you faltered so that you know what to do in the actual exam if there are questions from those particular areas. Don’t allow stress to take over. The actual CMAT question paper is usually easier than mock tests.
Go Through CMAT Question Papers
Spend some time on assessing previous year's CMAT question papers to know which topics dominate the question paper. All the five sections of CMAT question paper will have equal weightage i.e. 20 questions each. While going through the past years’ CMAT question papers, note how many questions have been asked from which topic over the years. Usually there is only one RC passage in the Language Comprehension section of CMAT. Data Interpretation is negligent with only one table or series. The pattern could be repeated this year as well.

Do Not Start Anything New
When just a week is left for CMAT, leave what’s left behind. Do not start a new chapter. Starting a topic from scratch a few days before the exam is a bad idea because it will not only take up your time but may also lead you confused and ill prepared. Capitalise on the hard work you’ve already put in. Be confident of what you’ve studied and attempt questions from only those topics in the exam.
Make a Time Management Strategy
CMAT is a speed-based aptitude test. One has to answer 100 questions in 180 minutes. Which means for each questions one gets 1.8 minute to read, understand and solve. Now, any expert will tell you that attempting all the questions in a speed-based test is nothing short of hara-kiri. So, develop a strategy by which you can solve about 70-75 questions in 180 minutes will maximum accuracy. Also, assess how much time you take in solving about 15-18 questions of QA, LR and Verbal Ability individually. Make sure, that in CMAT 2024 exam you time yourself accordingly. GK section of CMAT will not require more than 15 minutes. So, divide time accordingly.

Apart from revision, spend some time in practicing trick and shortcuts of solving calculation intensive question you have learnt before. Due to the time limit, it is very important that you don’t waste time in doing too much rough work. Memorise tables, square, square roots, cube, cube roots, etc. for Quant. For English grammar, memorise short definitions with examples.
Prepare for CMAT Exam Day
No amount of hard work is of any help if things don’t go as planned on the exam day. Thus, start preparing for the exam day in advance. CMAT is conducted in two shifts. Study at the same time as CMAT 2024 exam timing. You need to be physically and mentally prepared for a three-hour marathon test without bio-break. Most importantly, do not take stress.
