As per the recent notification, NLU Delhi has extended the last date to apply for the AILET 2026 exam to 13-Nov-2025, 11:59 PM. 

Following sections will be there in AILET UG 2026 exam-

Candidates applying for undergraduate or postgraduate courses will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the AILET exam as under: 

• Candidates should have obtained the minimum qualifying marks.
• If candidates are applying under a reserved category, then they should have a certificate issued by the competent authority stating the same. 
• If candidates belong to the PwD category then a medical certificate issued by a medical authority stating 40 per cent or more disability should be available to be eligible under PwD category.

NLU Delhi offeres 110+10 total seats (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). However, the Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.  

NLU Delhi offeres 70+10 (70 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). Additionally, there is one Supernumerary Seats for Kashmiri Migrants. 

AILET-2026 will be conducted at, Ahmedabad, Asansol, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Jamshedpur, Haldwani, Hisar, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.  

• To apply for LLM program entrance exam, candidates must have attained their LLB degree or an equivalent law degree with a minimum 50% scores from a recognized institute.
• However, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must score a minimum 45% aggregate score in their LLB course.
• Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of their LLB program are also eligible to appear for the AILET exam.
• There is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.

• Candidates applying for the exam must have passed class 12 exams with atleast 45% scores from a recognized institute.
• The relaxation of 5% is there is the qualifying exam for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates; therefore they must score a minimum 40% aggregate score in their class 12.
• However, OBC Category candidates must score a minimum of 42% in their class 12.
• There is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.

NLU Delhi has not yet released the notification for the AILET 2026 application closure or extension. The registration window at the nationallawuniversitydelhi.in is still active. 

The National Law University Delhi has not yet closed the registration window for the AILET 2026 exam.

If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then merit rank will be decided considering-

• Seniority
• Computerized draw of lots. 

NLU Delhi did not revise the exam pattern this year, however, in the session 2023, the NLU made some below given changes in the pattern and syllabus of the AILET LLM exam-

• There will be NO MORE TWO sections - Section A and Section B
• There will be 100 MCQs.
• The questions will be asked from different branches of law.

The candidates will be able to apply for the AILET exam-

Candidates can register for the AILET 2026 exam until 10-Nov-2025. The application correction date will be announced through a separate notification.

The NLU Delhi has not yet announced the extension of the AILET 2026 application. Candidates aspiring to sit for the exam must apply for the same before the last date to be eligible for the exam.
