TANCET Pass Mark 2025
Anna University does not predefine any passing criteria for TANCET exam. All candidates who take the exam are eligible to participate in the TN MBA admission. However, candidates who are not able to get their documents verified are marked ineligible from the admissions process. Additionally, the admission is based on the TANCET cutoff score defined by the participating colleges.
Once the verification process is complete, eligible candidates get their names in the TANCET rank list and can then proceed to the admission process. Not all test takers receive a TANCET rank. Moreover, having a TANCET MBA rank doesn't necessarily guarantee MBA admissions in Tamil Nadu.

How to Calculate Percentile in TANCET 2025
A frequent query among the candidates checking the TANCET 2025 result is āhow is percentile score calculatedā. TANCET percentile score reflects an individual test takerās performance compared to other candidates and does not consider marking scheme into account.
The percentile score calculation process is as follows:
---
TANCET Percentile Mark = Y/N Ć 100
In the table above, N refers to the total number of candidates who took the TANCET exam for that particular course. Whereas Y denotes the total number of candidates with an actual score lower than a particular candidate.
For example, Aman has an actual score of 57, in case he wants to calculate the TANCET MBA percentile score, he should know the total number of candidates who took the MBA exam. Additionally, Aman must know the number of TANCET MBA test takers who have an actual score lower than 57 marks.
In case 23710 candidates took the TANCET MBA exam, and 12500 candidates have an actual score of less than 57 marks, the calculation of Amanās percentile score in the TANCET MBA exam will be done as mentioned below:
- Y = 12500
- N = 23710
Amanās Percentile Score in TANCET MBA = 12500/23710 Ć 100
Based on the explanation above, Amanās TANCET percentile score, who secured 57 actual marks, will be 52.72%
