AYUSH 2026 counselling is expected to commence in August 2026. The notification for AYUSH counselling 2026 will be released online. Qualified NEET UG exam are eligible to participate in counselling. AYUSH counselling process comprises registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institutes for admission. Candidates need to complete the AYUSH counselling registration 2026 to participate in the allotment process. Ayush Admission Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) will conduct the AYUSH counselling 2026.

AYUSH counselling is conducted for admission to UG (BAMS / BSMS / BUMS / BHMS/ B.Pharm-ITRA) and PG (MD/MS) courses offered at Government / Government Aided colleges (15%), Deemed University, Central Universities / National Institutes of Ayurveda / Siddha / Unani / Homeopathy medical streams and PG seats of Banaras Hindu University. AYUSH Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

The authority will release the eligibility criteria for AYUSH counselling 2026 online. Candidates who fulfil the minimum criteria will be eligible to participate in the allotment process. AYUSH eligibility criteria are provided below.

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • NEET Qualified.
  • For the BPharmacy (Ayurveda) degree programme, candidates must obtain 50 percentile (40 percentile for SC, ST and OBC) in NEET.
  • Candidates with benchmark disabilities, minimum marks in NEET should be 45th percentile for GEN and 40th percentile for SC, ST, and OBC.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria to participate in Ayush counselling 2026?
A: 

One of the basic eligibility criteria is candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in NEET 2026 for Ayush 2026 counselling. Candidates are advised to ceheck eligibility criteria of specific institutes under 85% state quota seats as well. Those who want to participate in Ayush 2026 counselling are advised to read the information brochure carefully before applying online for seat allocation process.

Q:   How many rounds of counselling will be held for Ayush 2026 seat allotment?
A: 

A total of 4 rounds of counselling will be held for Ayush 2026 seat allotment, Round 1 to 3 and the stray vacancy round. All the counselling rounds will be held online. Candidates will have to register and declare their choice of college and course for seat allotment. 

Q:   Is qualifying NEET is mandatory for Ayush counselling?
A: 

Yes. Admission for ayush courses is provided based on NEET score. Only those who qualify the exam with minimum cutoff as per the category are eligible to participate in Ayush counselling. A total of 4 rounds of counselling is held for Ayush seat allocation.

AYUSH Counselling 2026: Counselling Steps & Process

AYUSH counselling 2026 shall be conducted in three rounds. To participate in the counselling process, candidates need to complete the registration process. AYUSH counselling process includes registration, filling the choice of course and college, seat allotment, and reporting got allotted college to complete the admission formalities.

Ayush Counselling 2026: Application Form

The authority will release the AYUSH 2026 counselling form online. Candidates need to complete the registration at AACCC website to participate in the counselling process. To register, they will have to provide necessary information such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and NEET roll number. After completing the registration process, they will have to log in using their NEET 2026 roll number and the new password and complete the application form. They will have to pay non refundable ayush counselling fee and refundable security money to submit the application form. Both kinds of fees have to be submitted online.

Candidates have to pay the AYUSH counselling fee to complete the registration. General category students need to pay a 1,000 non refundable ayush counselling fee, while for SC/ST category, the fee is 500. The fee details have been provided below:

Ayush 2026 Counselling: Choice Filling

After completing the form filling and depositing the security fee, candidates will have to fill out their choices in a Preference Form. They will have to provide the course-college options that they would like to apply for. There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can fill in the preference form. However, candidates are advised to go through the fee structure of the college and the curriculum of the course that they intend to apply for.

No filling in the choices will lead to the disqualification of the said candidate from the AYUSH counselling process. Also, candidates must lock the choices that they have filled before the last date to ensure that they have filled the correct options.

Ayush 2026 Seat Allotment

AACCC will prepare the seat allotment list for various courses based on the choices filled by the candidates and their ranks in NEET 2026. Selected candidates will again have to choose whether they want to continue with the seat allotted to them or not. For this, they will have to log in to the registered accounts on the website of AACCC and choose their option.

Candidates who register for the counselling of AYUSH UG courses online will be eligible to participate in the first round of counselling. Selected candidates will have to choose whether they want to continue with the seat allotted to them or opt for upgradation. The options available for such candidates are:

Option 1: Candidate chooses to continue with the seat allotted and does not wish to participate in the next round of counselling

Option 2: Candidate chooses to continue with the seat allotted but wishes to upgrade in the next round

Option 3: Candidate chooses to resign from the seat allotted, but wants to participate in the next round

Option 4: Candidate chooses to resign from the seat allotted and wants to exit the counselling process

Candidates who have chosen option 2 or 3 will have to fill in the choices for the next round. Candidates who have chosen option 1 will have to report to the allotted institute before the last date. Failing to report before the allotted time will lead to the cancellation of their admission. They will also not be eligible to participate in the next rounds.

Seats left vacant after the second round of AYUSH counselling:

Government/Government-aided seats left vacant after the second round will be transferred to the respective states. They will become a part of the seat matrix for the counselling of the respective state.

Private/National/Deemed seats will be filled by conducting a mop-up round. Fresh registrations will be accepted for this round. If any seats are left vacant after the mop-up round, these will be transferred to the respective institute for a stray round of counselling.

There are five steps for Ayush NEET 2026 counselling starting with online registration. Registration is followed by choice declaration and choice locking in the given deadline. Thereafter seat processing is started. Lastly seat allotment result is announced followed by reporting for document verification. AACCC will announce separate seat allotment result PDF for each round.

AYUSH Counselling 2026: Documents Required at the Time of Joining

Candidates allotted a seat in the AYUSH counselling need to report to the institution for the admission process. They need to carry a few documents with them. All documents must be original. Also, carry a copy of these documents.

  • Passport-sized photographs, eight in number (preferably the same as one pasted on the application form)
  • NEET 2025 admit card
  • NEET 2025 result
  • Birth Certificate/High School Certificate (as proof of date of birth)
  • Class 10 marksheet

AACCC will initiate refunding security money for Ayush 2026 counselling once the counselling rounds get over. It must be noted the money will be returned to those accounts from which payment was made during registration. Candidates are advised to keep the account active till whole admission process gets over. The money is credited into account in 20 working days from the date of publication of the refund list by AACCC on its website.

Q:   Has cutoff for Ayush counselling 2024 been reduced as compared to previous years cutoffs?
A: 

Yes. Ayush 2024 cut off has been reduced by 15 percentile for each category. The revised schedule will be announced soon as per the cut off. The cut off is reduced to fill vacant seat.

Admissions to the BAMS course at BHU is based on the AYUSH counselling process. The lowest NEET score accepted for the BAMS course for admission at BHU was 30748 for the General AI category. 

Note: Other categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.

The year-wise cutoff trend for the BAMS course at DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, has been declining for the General AI category. In 2025, the last round cutoff was 961682. In 2024, and 2023, the cutoff was 770181 and 696764, respectively.

Students need to login through AACCC login portal using their credentials. Then they have to exercise the AYUSH choice filling process. Students have to submit the preference for college and course during the choice filling process.
