
MCC NEET Counselling Dates 2025: The MCC NEET UG round 5 seat allotment result for BDS and BSc seats was released on January 2, 2026. Candidates could report to the colleges from January 4 to 10, 2026. The round 5 registration link was available from January 1 to 2, 2026. The MCC NEET counselling round 5 registration and choice filling facilities were available during the same timeline. The MCC NEET UG Counselling process is likely over now.
Earlier, registration for special stray round was invited between December 18 to 20, 2025. The MCC NEET counselling choice filling and locking was available from December 18 to 21, 2025. The special stray seat allotment result was released on December 22, 2025. The MCC NEET UG counselling for the Stray Vacancy round got over on November 20, 2025.

MCC NEET Counselling 2025 Steps and Events
MCC is the conducting body for the NEET UG Counselling for 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. All applicants who obtained AIQ seats based on their rank in the NEET UG result 2025, except those from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, were eligible to participate in the MCC NEET counselling. The MCC conducted a total of six rounds of counselling to fill medical seats in colleges and universities across India and some at abroad as well. There are seven stages in the MCC NEET UG counselling. Have a look at the details of each stage below.
Release of Seat Matrix
MCC released the seat matrix for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses across the participating universities offering 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
Registration
Candidates have to register for the NEET 2025 counselling for each round, including the Stray Vacancy round. The registration process is completely online, and candidates have to provide data such as contact details, NEET 2025 Roll Number, Rank and Scores along with other mandatory details. Non-refundable registration fees and a refundable security deposit also have to be paid.
In this segment, candidates have to select colleges to which they wish to take admission. Registered candidates have to log in to the MCC website with their credentials and then fill in their choices. MCC stated, “It is advised that after going through the list of seats available, a tentative list may be prepared first as per your preference of colleges, before attempting to fill choices online.”

Choice Locking
The next step is to lock the choices entered by them. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices. Cautioning candidates, MCC stated, “Don’t wait till the last minute to register and lock your choices and to take a printout. Please go through your submitted choices before locking, as once you lock the choices, they cannot be modified or changed even if you have made a mistake. It may result in the allotment of a seat which you never wanted. Please note that the choices once locked cannot be unlocked even from MCC.”
Seat Allotment Result
MCC releases the seat allotment result separately for each round for participating candidates. First, a provisional result is released and candidates are allowed to submit objections if any and then the final result or seat allotment list is released. Based on their seat allotment, candidates can either accept or go for the institute reporting round. Or they could opt for an upgrade of the allotted seats. In the case of the latter, they had to register for further rounds of counselling.

Institute Reporting
In this step, candidates have to visit the institutes where they wish to take their medical admission, based on the allotment. This step involves verification of the hard copy of mandatory documents and payment of admission fees.
Verification by Universities and Processing of Seat Allotment
The universities and colleges verify the registration details of the joined candidates based on data shared by MCC.
Note: The seats that remain unfilled after all the rounds of NEET counselling at AIQ are given to the relevant states for the state-level counselling processes.

MCC has announced the NEET 2025 counselling result dates for each round along with the schedule or the important dates. The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories: central or national, and state counselling. The central counselling for NEET is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. The NEET counselling process conducted by MCC is for the admission to the 15 per cent All India Quota seats. On the other hand, State Authorities or the Education Department of various states conduct NEET state counselling for the 85 per cent state quota seats. MCC conducts the NEET counselling for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. Nursing courses. Yes, medical aspirants can participate in the state as well as the All India NEET counselling processes simultaneously. In general, the dates of state and the All India NEET counselling rounds will be different.
Before participating in either of the NEET counselling processes, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria. For the State NEET counselling processes, candidates must belong to the domicile. Students not belonging to the state may also participate in the particular NEET state counselling, provided they register and participate from the NRI quota. Apart from that, other eligibility criteria are the same.
The NEET counselling process conducted for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be conducted primarily for the MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. For the State NEET counselling rounds, the courses for admission are MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. Some of the State NEET UG Counselling authorities also conduct admission for the Allied Courses such as BPTH, BoTH, BNYS, BASLP, etc. The courses may vary from state to state, but the MBBS and BDS courses are common all across. For the 15 per cent AIQ seats, the NEET counselling for B.A.MS, BUMS and BHMS courses are conducted separately by the requisite department and authorities, which is the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).
According to the NEET counselling conducting body Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), fresh choice submission by eligible candidates is necessary for consideration for seat allotment during Round 2. If candidate does not submit fresh choice (s) during choice filling period, the candidate will not be considered for allotment of seat during Round- 2 and will retain the already allotted (joined) seat, if any. Candidates need to register afresh before the commencement of the Round 2, even if they had registered in the Round 1.
