The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified all CBSE-affiliated schools not to send any request for countersignature of transfer certificates (TCs) to the headquarters or regional offices. As per the media reports, the board has earlier discontinued the requirement of countersignature of the TCs from one CBSE-affiliated school to another.
Further, the officials from the CBSE Examination Controller have mentioned that the CBSE headquarters and regional offices still get countersignatures of transfer certificates requests and non-compliance with CBSE guidelines is causing inconvenience to stakeholders. He further mentioned that all schools are reminded that there is no need for countersignature of any transfer certificate, as reported by the Indian Express.
