CBSE Board Exams 2026

CBSE Board Exam 2026:Β TheΒ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)Β will kick-start the Board examination for the Class 10th and Class12th from February 17, 2026. The exam will be taken by approximately 46 lakh candidates in a single shift in the morning slot. The exam will begin at 10:30 am and will continue till 1:30 pm at the test centres. Candidates from both Secondary and Higher Secondary classes will appear for the exams.

What Arrangements Have Been done?

Taking a cue from the huge participation in the board exams, special arrangements have been made by the Delhi Police to ensure that candidates reach the allocated centre on time. Traffic restrictions have been imposed in parts of central Delhi as another major event on the AI Impact Summit will cause issues in the traffic movement around the Bharat Mandapam location in Delhi.

Traffic personnel have been directed to extend assistance to students travelling to their examination centres. Candidates must carryΒ CBSEΒ admit cards or date sheets, as priority will be extended to such candidates in reaching to their venues on time.

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Exam Day Guidelines

The CBSE board class 10 exam will be of mathematics subject. CBSE will conduct the Class 12 exam for the biotechnology, entrepreneurship, and shorthand subjects in both English and Hindi. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions mentioned below to ensure there are no hiccups on the exam day:

  1. Reach the examination centre at least 25-30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. avoid last-minute hassles.
  2. Be present at the centre in a proper school uniform. Do not forget to carry your school identity card.
  3. It is mandatory to carry a hard copy of the CBSE admit cards. Entry to the centre or permission to the exam hall will only be granted on the basis of the hall tickets.
  4. Do not carry items restricted by the Board, such as a smart watch, mobile phone, or any other kind of electronic gadgets. In case a candidate is found to be carrying such items, his/her exam will be cancelled.
  5. Carry personal stationery items to the examination centre. Only a transparent water bottle is allowed.
  6. To read the question paper, 15 minutes have been allocated by CBSE. Use a β€˜blue or black’ pen in the answer sheet.

CBSE Board Exams 2026 – Candidates Expected to Appear

As many as 18,57,479 (18 lakh) students have been estimated to appear for the Class 12th board exam. There will be 120 subjects for which the exam will be conducted. Around 10.4 crore answer books will be stacked for evaluation, which is why CBSE has decided to introduce a digital evolution of the answer sheet.
