UP Board Exam 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board (UPMSP) has filed an official police complaint against the creation of a fake social media account aimed at spreading misinformation and rumors regarding the UP Class 10 and 12 board exams 2025. The board has condemned the act, urging the authorities to take immediate legal action to safeguard the interests of students and ensure a smooth examination process.

Fake Account Spreading Misinformation on 'X'

According to the UPMSP, a fraudulent account under the name of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Prayagraj (@upmspofficial) has been created on the social media platform 'X'. The account has been sharing misleading comments and information about the ongoing UP Board exams for Class 10 and 12, which are being conducted from February 24 to March 12, 2025.

The UP board has expressed serious concerns over the potential damage caused by such fake accounts, stating that they could create confusion among students and jeopardize the credibility of the exams. The board emphasized that such actions could adversely affect the mental well-being of students already under exam stress.

Legal Action Under the Cyber Crime Act

In its post on 'X', UPMSP warned of strict legal consequences for individuals behind the creation of fake accounts. "Under the Cyber Crime Act, there is a provision for heavy fines and imprisonment for those found guilty of creating fake accounts in the name of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council Prayagraj and spreading false information," the board stated.

Additionally, the UPMSP requested the Director General of Police to take immediate action against those responsible for creating and managing the fake accounts. The board highlighted that such deceptive actions violated the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, and could severely disrupt the smooth conduct of the examinations.
