Viksit Bharat Buildathon Sees Record Participation With Over 25.9 Lakh Students
More than 25.9 lakh students from over 2.9 lakh schools have submitted their unique ideas
Schools from different parts India have recorded good number of participation in Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 run by Ministry of Education. According to ministry, more than 25.9 lakh students from over 2.9 lakh CBSE, ICSE and state board schools have submitted their unique ideas in order to foster problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking among young learners.
This central government initiative, being run in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) has witnessed remarkable enthusiasm at school level with more than 3.5 lakh schools registering for Buildathon. Education Ministry has noted that influx of ideas from local solutions to futuristic innovations, highlights growing innovation culture across India’s school network.
Ministry in a tweet stated that overwhelming student response reflects country's collective commitment towards building a self-reliant and future ready generation. As per the Ministry, this Buildathon is part of India’s broader vision for Viksit Bharat 2047, encouraging students to contribute to solutions aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi and Vocal for Local.
The Ministry added that the submitted ideas will play an influential role in shaping the country’s innovation journey as India moves closer to its long-term developmental goals.
CBSE offers three main streams in Class 12, namely Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities.
Every year, CBSE records a decent overall pass percentage overall. In 2025, the Board recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.39 which is an increase from the 2024's 87.98 percent. A total of 17,04,367 students registered for the exam, out of which 16,92,794 students appeared, and 14,96,307 students passed the CBSE 12th exam 2025.
The pass percentage of girls was 91.64 while that of boys was 85.70.

In order to clear ISC Class 12, a student is required to have obtained at least 40% marks in four subjects including English on the cumulative average and a minimum attendance of 75% of the working days.
