The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched a Master’s programme in Sanskrit through open and distance mode. Students interested in IGNOU Admissions 2020 must know that MA Sanskrit through open and distance mode is also available. According to the reports, the academic consultation and support of distinguished scholars in different disciplines of Sanskrit helped to develop and design this programme. The students of any discipline after graduation can pursue Masters in Sanskrit with the flexibility of doing it through ODL Mode.

Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the launch of the MA Sanskrit programme was done via webinar through Google meet and broadcast live on the Facebook page of the varsity. Addressing the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Nageshar Rao hoped that with the collective efforts of everyone, Sanskrit would get the boost needed and would be taken up by students as the preferred choice.

The interested and eligible students can register for Ignou MA Sanskrit Programme admission through IGNOU’s admission portal i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Meanwhile, the varsity recently launched a podcast series to help students learn while listening to the lectures offered by the varsity. The institute said that the podcast series is aimed at its “diverse learner base”.

Professor Neeti Agrawal and Professor Nayantara Padhi of School of Management Studies are the podcast coordinators. The platform is designed and developed by Professor Uma Knajilal, Director, Centre for Online Education (COE). The platform will provide learners and stakeholders an opportunity to hear the best of the minds.

IGNOU digitalized its several other facilities such as Gyandhara – internet audio, e-Gyankosh – a national digital repository, Gyanvani – an education FM radio, and content of IGNOU Library due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
