CSAB 2025, DASA Special Round Counselling

CSAB 2025, DASA Special Round Counselling:  The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela is inviting applications for Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) 2025 and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) Special Round. Candidates will be able to fill up the CSAB 2025, DASA special round counselling registration form. The registration will open on July 30, 2025. The last date for payment of fees and uploading of documents is August 3, 2025, by 5 PM. Candidates must respond to any queries raised during the DASA document verification process by August 6, 2025. The final deadline for locking seat choices is August 7, 2025, by 8:00 PM.

Candidates can register for CSAB 2025, DASA special round counselling through the official portal: csab.nic.in. The Institute has also set up a common registration process for eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes at NITs, IIITs, IIEST, SPAs, other centrally or state-funded technical institutions, and select additional institutes.

Common Admission Portal

The newly launched common registration portal serves as a single-window platform for two distinct admission processes—DASA 2025 and CSAB-Special 2025. With the Unified Registration and Choice feature, candidates can opt for one of the following participation modes:

• DASA-Only
• CSAB-Special-Only
• Combined DASA + CSAB-Special

Eligible candidates can log in using their JEE (Main/Advanced/JoSAA 2025) credentials. This initiative aims to streamline the admission process by clarifying timelines, simplifying document submission, and easing onboarding procedures.

CSAB Special Round 2025 Counselling 

The CSAB Special Round is open to Indian citizens (including GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD) and OCI/PIO(I) candidates. It is intended for those who did not get a seat through JoSAA, withdrew, or wish to upgrade their allotment.

Through this round, eligible candidates can apply to:

• 31 NITs
• IIEST Shibpur
• 26 IIITs
• 3 SPAs
• 44 Other-GFTIs (Government-funded Technical Institutes)

DASA 2025 Counselling 

DASA offers merit-based admissions for students with JEE Main 2025 ranks, including NRIs and OCI/PIOs, to undergraduate engineering, architecture, and planning programmes in India.

Applicants must be born on or after 1st October 2000. NRI candidates must have completed at least two years of education abroad (Classes 11 and 12 or equivalent) in the last eight years.

Participating institutions include:

• 30 NITs
• IIEST Shibpur
• 13 IIITs
• 3 SPAs
• 30 Other-GFTIs and select additional institutes
