JEE Main, NEET 2020 likely to be postponed, decision TOMORROW: MHRD

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is prepping up to announce fresh dates for NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 by tomorrow.

JEE Main 2020, NEET 2020 fresh dates to be out tomorrow! The National Testing Agency (NTA) is prepping up to take a decision on the conduction of the NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 by tomorrow. According to the latest tweet posted by the Human Resource and Development Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the authorities are considering the requests made by the students regarding the postponement of one of the most important entrance exams of the Country i.e. NEET UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020. The minister said that a final decision on the conduction of the major engineering, medical exams i.e NEET UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020 will be taken by tomorrow i.e. July 3, 2020.

The official tweet posted by the HRD Minister regarding the NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 Dates states, “Looking at the prevailing circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for #JEE & #NEET examinations, a committee consisting of @DG_NTA & other experts has been advised to review the situation & submit its recommendations to @HRDMinistry latest by tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, CBSE already cancelled the CBSE 10^th and CBSE 12^th board exams 2020 making the 12^th board exams optional for the students to improve their scores. CBSE will conduct the 12^th board exams later for the students not satisfied with their marks. The Board also decided to release CBSE 10th Results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 by July 15. 

According to the reports, the Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal conducted several meetings to discuss the manner and dates of the CBSE Board Exams 2020, NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020. A final decision on the conduction of the major engineering, medical exams i.e NEET UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020 is expected to be announced by tomorrow. 

Meanwhile, students who are preparing for JEE Main 2020 and NEET UG 2020 are demanding the cancellation of the pending examinations. However, the HRD Ministry is yet to issue an official notification regarding the cancellation of JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020. 

So far, according to the JEE Main 2020 exam dates, the entrance exam is scheduled to be held on July 18-23 in online computer-based mode. The JEE Main 2020 admit card is likely to be released by NTA 15 days prior to the entrance test. The National Testing Agency (NTA) reopened the JEE Main application form for all the candidates from May 19 to 24, 2020.

As per the NEET 2020 exam dates, the NEET UG 2020 will be conducted on July 26.
