Overview

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern: The exact JEE Advanced pattern is not announced before the exam, as total number of questions, marking scheme and total marks of JEE Advanced are not fixed. However, overall JEE Advanced paper pattern remains same, including the number of papers, total duration, and types of questions.

IIT Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2026 on May 17. The exam will consist of two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2, both consisting of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is compulsory to appear in both papers. The total duration of both exam is 6 hours, conducted in two 3-hour shifts on a single day. JEE Advanced question paper will have four types of questions- single correct MCQ, multiple correct MCQ, Matching type and questions for which the answer is a numerical value

The question paper of the JEE Advanced exam will be designed in a way to test the comprehensive, reasoning and analytical understanding of aspirants.
