NIMCET 2025 exam concludes; answer key to be released tomorrow at nimcet.admissions.nic.in

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, has conducted the NIMCET 2025 exam on June 8, 2025. The computer-based test was held from 2 PM to 4 PM, as a computer-based test at various exam centres. For admissions into the participating institutes, the students will have to qualify the entrance examination. No other exam scores will be accepted for NIMCET admissions by the authorities. At the exam centre, all students had to bring their NIMCET 2025 admit card and ID proof for verification.
NIMCET 2025 Paper Analysis
According to the students who attempted the exam, the paper was of moderate difficulty. While Mathematics was considered the toughest section, the students found the English and Logical Reasoning sections easy to complete. The Computer Awareness section was easy, but many students found the question tricky.
NIMCET 2025: When will the provisional answer key be released?
NIMCET 2025 answer key is expected to be released tomorrow, i.e., June 10, 2025. Through the answer key, the correct responses to the entrance exam can be checked. The candidates can use the provisional key to calculate their probable secured scores in the entrance exam. Objections against the provisional key will be accepted until June 12, 2025 (5 PM). All of the objections have to be submitted with supporting proof.
After all of the objections are checked, the authorities will prepare the final NIMCET 2025 answer key. Based on the final key, the NIMCET 2025 result will be declared tentatively on June 27, 2025 (5 PM). The scores obtained in the exam can be checked through the results.

No, there is no step marking in NIMCET. Each correctly answered question will be awarded full marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to 25% negative mark. The candidates are advised not to attempt such questions if they are not sure of the correct answer. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if a question is unanswered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be negatively marked. The candidates have to mark the responses as per the instructions appearing in the screen of NIMCET online examination.
Yes, the candidates will be able to challenge the provisional answer key of NIMCET. The facility to challenge the answer key will be open online. It is to be noted that objections can only be filed against the provisional answer key, and not against the final answer key. The provisional answer key for NIMCET will be released after the conclusion of the exam and will also contain the official keys to all the questions asked in the exam.

As per the information brochure of NIMCET, each correctly answered question will give full marks, while each incorrectly answered question will result in deduction. For Mathematics, 12 marks will be awarded for the correct answer, and 3 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer. For Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, 6 marks will be awarded for the correct answer, and 1.5 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
