The collaboration between Atal Incubation Centre at Birla Institute of Management Technology and Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to act as a launchpad for Indian start-ups aiming to go global, by opening doors to international markets, trade networks, and innovation platforms through GCCI’s global presence.

In a significant move to strengthen India’s burgeoning start-up ecosystem, the Atal Incubation Centre at Birla Institute of Management Technology (AIC-BIMTECH) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). The agreement was formalized at the International Smart City Conclave held at Gautam Buddha University, bringing together global experts to discuss the future of smart urban development.

This collaboration is expected to act as a launchpad for Indian start-ups aiming to go global, by opening doors to international markets, trade networks, and innovation platforms through GCCI’s global presence.

Bridging India with the World: Access to Global Markets

The MoU paves the way for Indian entrepreneurs to gain unprecedented exposure to international business ecosystems. Through this partnership, AIC-BIMTECH start-ups will gain access to:

  • Global trade and business networks
  • Innovation and technology exchange forums
  • Cross-border incubation and mentorship
  • International funding and investment avenues

As GCCI maintains connections across several countries, this collaboration creates a direct bridge between Indian innovation and global entrepreneurship landscapes.

Creating Opportunities: Training, Innovation, and Networking

Beyond access to global markets, AIC-BIMTECH and GCCI will co-develop specialized training programs, host innovation forums, and facilitate business networking events to foster entrepreneurship with an international outlook. The goal is to not only support start-ups but also encourage cross-cultural learning and multi-market scalability.

Dr Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, emphasized the institute’s commitment to cultivating entrepreneurial talent.

“This collaboration marks a significant step toward promoting excellence in entrepreneurship, knowledge sharing, and professional education. We will continue to create an employment generator economy through structured programs, mentorship, and investor connections.”

Global Support for Local Innovation

Er Aashish Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of GCCI, highlighted how this alliance aligns with GCCI’s mission:

“This partnership reinforces GCCI’s vision of advancing global business cooperation and equipping start-ups with the ecosystem and exposure they need to thrive on the international stage.”

Surya Kant, CEO of AIC-BIMTECH, echoed the sentiment and shared how the initiative supports “Viksit Bharat 2047”, a vision to transform India through innovation at the grassroots level.

“This MoU is a step forward in expanding our incubation support and fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship with global outreach.”
