This year’s GLIM PGPM batch represents a microcosm of India’s evolving professional landscape, drawing talent from over 100 organizations and more than 40 industries, spanning technology, consulting, BFSI, FMCG, and social sectors.
GLIM PGPM 2025: Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, has inaugurated the largest-ever cohort of 170 students for its Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM), academic year 2025–26. This year’s batch represents a microcosm of India’s evolving professional landscape, drawing talent from over 100 organizations and more than 40 industries, spanning technology, consulting, BFSI, FMCG, and social sectors.
The incoming cohort brings an average work experience of 3.4 years, with 39% women—a notable reflection of the changing demographics in Indian business education and the broader effort toward more inclusive leadership pipelines.
Dr Vikas Prakash, Program Director – PGPM, described the year ahead as “a launchpad for reinvention,” urging students to embrace uncertainty and lead with curiosity—a mindset increasingly prized in today’s fast-evolving workplaces. Dr Jones Mathew, Principal & Head of the Institution, formally named the batch “The Invincibles,” highlighting their potential to lead with resilience and purpose.
In his address, Chairman Mohan Lakhamraju described the PGPM program as a platform full of possibilities, encouraging students to approach it with purpose, take full ownership of their learning journey, and actively shape their outcomes.
Opportunities & Expectations of Modern Management Roles
The commencement week served as an immersive orientation into the opportunities and expectations of modern management roles. Sessions featured industry leaders such as Vikramjeet Singh, Partner at PwC, and Anand Shankar, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, Deloitte South Asia. Singh urged students to align personal growth with accountability, while Shankar emphasized skill-based leadership over positional authority.
Additional perspectives from senior professionals at KPMG, Livguard, and CSC helped students contextualize their classroom experience with real-world challenges and hiring dynamics. Alumni engagement added another layer of insight, as Siddhant Sinha (PGPM 2019), currently at Amazon, offered reflections on career pivots and the long-term value of institutional networks.
Karma Yoga orientation
Students also engaged in a Karma Yoga orientation, Great Lakes’ flagship experiential learning initiative that places students in real-world community engagement projects. A mindfulness session led by Professor S K Palhan and a Talent Evening added cultural and emotional intelligence to the mix. With MBA programs increasingly expected to deliver career mobility, diverse representation, and industry integration, Great Lakes Gurgaon’s PGPM is emerging as a benchmark for compact, high-impact business education, especially for professionals seeking accelerated growth.
