Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) - Batch of 2019
5.0
Absolutely wholesome learning and campus experience in 2019.
Placements: Placements support was extensive during my batch. The CCS team conducted rigorous placement preparation with mock interviews, GDs, guesstimates, etc., which were standard for recruitment processes. The average CTC for my 2019 batch was 11.2 LPA, with the highest hitting 17 LPA. All my batchmates were placed by the end of the programme. As per recent placement statistics, the campus has come a long way in just 5 years.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure and hostels are state-of-the-art. A fully Wi-Fi-equipped air-conditioned campus with ample open space and greenery provides a comfortable and conducive learning environment to spend a lot of productive time with peers. Classrooms are modern auditorium-style to enable the best faculty-student interactions. Food quality is far better than most hostels in the country.
Faculty: The most supportive faculty in all my academic journey. The best part is that the faculty have no reservations against spending time with you post-lectures to clear your doubts and ensure that you have learned as much as possible. The level of personal mentorship is quite high. The curriculum is adapted every year to meet the changing needs of the industry and ensure that students are ready for the long term.
Other: I chose the course because, with 5+ years of experience, I did not want to take a long break from work. The 1-year programme helped me switch careers, get into management, and significantly increase my income in just 1 year. Being among the first ones to be placed, I could have the mind space to help my peers with their placement preparations and participate in a number of extracurricular activities, despite it being a rigorous programme in itself.

Review of Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students from our course got placed till date and placements are still going on. The lowest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, and the highest package salary package offered is 18 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, ZS and Accenture visit our college for placements. Top roles, like business analysts, associate consultant, sales manager, etc., are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: The campus was good enough to contain 500 students. There are common washrooms in the hostel, which was an issue. They charge 1.4 LPA, but cannot provide separate washrooms. The college provides a twin sharing room with the air-conditioned facility and with all the amenities. The library is good and huge enough to accommodate 100 students at a time.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are really good, and especially the marketing and analytics department faculty are at par level. Their teaching quality is up to the mark, and most of the courses were case-based discussions. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is aligned with industry requirements.
Other: For a professional with 3-4 years of work experience, our course is ideal, so I have chosen this course. If you are capable enough, you can crack ROI more than 1. I wish the course duration should be extended as 20 hours are really not enough even to learn the basics properly. Many events are organised at our campus.

The college has good infrastructure, professors and hospitality with good ROI.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students are placed as a business analyst and product manager consultants in big 4 companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG and other top analytics firms. The average salary package offered has increased by 20% from the last year. This year, students have also got opportunities in FMCG.
Infrastructure: Our college has excellent infrastructure with 3 hostel buildings and 2 academic blocks. It has a well-equipped computer lab and a library. Mess and hospitality services are handled by Sodexo who provide state-of-the-art facilities like clean washrooms and housekeeping.
Faculty: Professors in our college are from well-known institutions around the world. They have served top firms at the leadership level. They have designed the course curriculum according to the industry standards wherein current technology and tools are used to develop business acumen.
Other: I have chosen this course because I had an IT background with engineering in ECE. This college offers the best opportunity for engineers who want to foray into the business side of the IT industry.

Faculty members are amazing. You can join this college.
Placements: In our college, out of 140 students, around 135 students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Gartner, ABFS, Axis Bank, Fractal Analytics visited the campus for placements. Most of the roles offered in the IT and ITES sector, followed by the consulting sector. The highest salary package offered in our course is 17 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 8 LPA. We don't have internships in our course. We have a concept of a live project.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty amazing. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and there is no limit on the usage. Students can also connect the Wi-Fi on multiple devices. Classrooms are nice with all the required facilities. Hostel food is decent, but after a while, students get bored with it. There is a night canteen which serves food till 3 AM. Apart from these 2 things, nothing else is present on the campus. Outside the campus also nothing much is there. Medical facilities are concerned a small medical place is present on the campus, which is open 24x7, and for games, we have pretty much everything. For all the activities floodlight is available and students can play the games at night too.
Faculty: Teachers in this institute are one of the best you can find in the country. Most of them are highly recognised throughout the country. They are super knowledgeable and are always ready to help students with their doubts. The course curriculum is very relevant, and they keep on changing as per the requirements in the industry. It makes the students industry-ready.

The college is worth of it's money.
Placements: Placements are good for my batch and even for my senior batch. The college helps in associating with the companies. Approximately 60% of the students get a transition. The college provides at least 50% hike on last drawn. Participation by a diverse set of companies. Average CTC offered is11.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The has gym, TT room and sports ground facilities. The food and catering are managed properly. Food is better then mess. Cleanliness and hygiene are top-notch. The campus is small, but it has all the facilities, and it is worth the money.
Faculty: They bring the faculty of Chennai campus to our college. It's a course for people with 2 or more years of experience. There are experienced faculty members. It is a mixture of classroom learning and online learning. There are practical exposures, lectures by the industry heads. The student to faculty ratio is 60:3.

Curriculum and placements of our college are good.
Placements: Almost 95% of the students of our batch got placed with a median salary package in between 9 LPA to 9.50 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 7 LPA. Since PGPM is a professional course, the college doesn't invite companies that offer salary packages less than 7 LPA which is a good advantage for students.
Infrastructure: The new campus in Manesar has all the facilities that are required for students in a college. The hostel is within the college with twin sharing rooms. Canteen in the college is good and provides decent food. There are sports facilities within the college. The whole campus is enabled with Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is designed to focus on upcoming technologies like digital marketing, analytics, statistics, etc. Not many companies visit the college to offer analytics profiles for the placed students. Teachers in our college are great, and most of them travel from Chennai and abroad to take sessions. There are multiple guest lectures as well.

Great Lakes Gurgaon - The Life I Enjoyed.
Placements: Placements were really good in the college even though 100% placement was not achieved. But all others also got jobs when they tried outside. Deloitte, KPMG, Cognizant, Cafe Coffee Day, Virtusa Polaris, LatentView, Mu Sigma, Aditya Birla Group and Cartesian Consulting were among the companies that visited the campus. The roles offered were diverse. Consultant, Assistant Manager in Sales, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, Branch Manager were some of the roles. The highest salary offered was 16 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 8 Lacs per annum. The average Salary offered would be around 10-11 Lacs per annum. As far as internship is concerned, there is no internship for the 1 year PGPM course. Instead there is something called live project where we used to work for a company in learning the trades. We used to have a company mentor and a college mentor. Everyone got a live project and there was no stipend involved in case of live projects. In case of the two year PGDM course, all of them got internship. I do not know about the average stipend offered. There is a placement cell made of management and there is a placement committee made of students. The students acted as a liaison between the placement cell and the other students in the course. The placement cell were responsible for bringing in the companies for placements and internships. They were really helpful and even trained the students before all placements in Group Discussion, Case Interviews and Personal Interviews. My only concern is that the finance candidates were not offered many finance roles to choose from.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good as well. Initially there were only three buildings, a playground and a amphitheatre but they opened one more building for academics by the end of the year. Hence, there is an academics building where classes were taking place. There is a men's hostel and a women's hostel. There is one more building which hosts indoor sports, gym and cafeteria. Food served is very good and the menu is same for each day of the week. The menu will be decided by the student council and the menu is changed every month. The ambience in the cafeteria is also good. Sodexo is in charge of the housekeeping and food. They are professional about it. Also a small tuck shop is there which sells biscuits, chocolates and other snacks from 8 AM to midnight 2 AM so that students who study at nights find enough food to eat. The classrooms have state-of-the-art technology and have projectors and boards. The classrooms are also open 24 hours for students to study if they want to study as a group. The library is adequate with books being available for all the streams of MBA. There are no novels or fictional books though. There is a nurse who is in the campus from 9 AM to 6 PM. A doctor visits the campus twice a week and a counsellor visits once a week. There is a very big ground which hosts football and cricket players. There is also a shuttle court and volleyball court. Indoor sports of Carrom, Chess and Table Tennis are also available. The Wi-fi was adequate. Not too fast for downloading movies but not too slow either especially in the hostel. It is really fast in the academic blocks. The hostels were on a dual sharing basis and the space given for each person was more than adequate. A wardrobe and a mirror was also given. There are two washing machines in each floor in the bathrooms and enough number of bathrooms, urinals and toilets were there so that it was never crowded.
Faculty: Most of the professors were from the industry and were experts in what they taught. A few guest faculty were not up to the mark but most of them were good as well. All the faculty had industry experience and taught us from their experience. The course curriculum was such that all the subjects were mandatory till the third term as it involved general management and after that we could opt for electives based on the specialisation that we wanted to do. The faculty involved in teaching through powerpoints mostly. But, blackboards were also used. Software trainings were hands-on and that involved us working with the faculty as they taught how to use it. Coding languages like 'R' involved most fun as the faculty in Analytics executed the R codes and taught us what each line or code did. Additionally books were given and prescribed and case study copies were also given. We did not use the books for studying though. The professors' PPTs were more than enough. The exams usually involved pen and paper or if multiple choice, laptops. It was not the usual exams. The mode of exam depended on the professor and the subject. Sometimes, a project presentation was part of the end-term exam. Sometimes it was just a component like a quiz. It all depended on the faculty. As far as industry exposure is concerned, the live project which we did under an industry mentor showed us what it was to be in the industry.
Other: A cultural fest for each of the department of Marketing, Analytics, Finance and Operations was held and industry experts were invited as judges. TedX was there. Also foundation day and college day were celebrated where students performed skits, mime shows, songs, dance, etc. The campus never seemed to dull even for a moment as someone or the other would be awake all the time. There was no sleep for the campus. We could form clubs which involved extra-curricular activities and do it in the evening. Sometimes, the students ourselves would organize the screening of movies and we used to watch movies on weekends in the big projector in classrooms. The campus has a great lawn as well where students lie down and chill. The college also allowed people to go to a sports event in the MDI Gurgaon campus. The only problem in the campus was connectivity as the campus was 20 kms away from Gurgaon city and cabs were hard to find. But the college arranged two bus trips to the city on every Saturday and Sunday. It is just that you cannot travel as per your whim and fancy.
