The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis at IIM Shillong has inaugurated a five-day Management Development Program (MDP) aimed at mid-level government officers from Arunachal Pradesh. The program, running from December 16 to December 20, 2024, will provide 30 officers, each with over 10 years of service, with the tools and knowledge necessary to improve governance and public service delivery in the region.
The MDP began with a warm welcome address from Dr. Sanjeev Ningombam, Centre Head of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis. Dr. Ningombam detailed the program’s carefully crafted curriculum, emphasizing its objectives to foster innovation, enhance administrative efficiency, and instill best practices in governance. He highlighted the program's focus on empowering officers with skills that can directly translate into improved public service outcomes.
Director’s Keynote on Leadership and Governance
Professor D P Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, delivered the inaugural address, underscoring the crucial role of administrative officers in shaping the future of Arunachal Pradesh.
