
XLRI Jamshedpur inaugurated the academic year 2025–27, welcoming 429 students from four flagship programs, i.e., PGDM Business Management, PGDM Human Resource Management, PGDM Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Fellow Programme in Management.
Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has inaugurated the academic year 2025–27 at the iconic Tata Auditorium, XLRI Jamshedpur. The event welcomed students into XLRI’s renowned management programs, marking the beginning of their transformational leadership journey.
XLRI 2025 Batch: 429 Students Inducted Into Four Flagship Programs
A total of 429 students were officially inducted across four academic programs:
PGDM (Business Management BM): 215 students
PGDM (Human Resource Management HRM): 180 students
PGDM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management LSCM, Dual Degree with Rutgers): 14 students
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM): 20 students
This batch represents the next generation of socially responsible business leaders ready to take on global challenges.
Fr. (Dr) Sebastian George Inspires Students With Visionary Keynote
In his powerful keynote address, Fr (Dr.) Sebastian George, S J, Director of XLRI, emphasized purpose-driven leadership and lifelong learning.
“Welcome to XLRI – now your family. Behave responsibly, support one another and focus on your goals, especially academics,” said Fr George. “Learn from your failures, recognize your strengths, and steer clear of distractions. Learn, unlearn and relearn.”
He urged students to understand the difference between solvable problems and complex predicaments, encouraging a mindset of adaptability, ethical decision-making, and community orientation.
Led by Fr. Donald D’Silva, S J (Dean of Administration & Finance) and Dr Sanjay Patro (Dean of Academics), the interfaith Prayer Service drew from the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, the Guru Granth Sahib, and the Quran. This longstanding XLRI tradition symbolizes the institute’s commitment to inclusion, spiritual wisdom, and ethical leadership.
XLRI Heritage Video and Mentor Sessions Foster Sense of Belonging
The inaugural ceremony concluded with a visionary video presentation showcasing XLRI’s rich heritage and future aspirations. Students also participated in mentor interaction sessions, helping to build early bonds and a sense of community and support, hallmarks of the XLRI experience.
