The NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 Seat Allotment Result will be declared on September 12, 2025. At first, a provisional result is declared, and candidates are allowed to submit objections. After that, the final seat allotment result will be declared. 

The MCC NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 choice locking window will open on September 9, 2025, at 4 PM, and close at 11.55 PM on the same day. 

The MCC NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2 registration, choice filling and locking will end on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. While the registration window will close at 12 noon, the fee has to be paid by 3 PM on the same date. 

As per the latest notification by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the PWD verification window will close today, September 5, 2025, at 5 PM. Originally, the last date was September 9, 2025, which has been preponed now. 

No, MCC has not released the seat matrix for the NEET UG 2025 Counselling Round 2 yet. It is expected to be available soon as the choice filling window has already been opened. 

The Government of India has approved the establishment of 18 new medical colleges across India, which will add 1,200 MBBS seats to the seat matrix in the MCC NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2. The following table brings the institute and the number of approved seats. 

Candidates, even if they participated in the NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1, have to fill fresh choices, as the previous rounds' choices will be considered null and void. 

There is no limit to the number of choices during the NEET 2025 Counselling Choice Filling process. However, candidates are advised to prepare the list of courses and college choices based on the seat matrix in advance, based on their ranks or scores and the previous year's cutoff of the colleges. 

Candidates have to follow the steps below to complete the NEET 2025 choice filling and locking process. Prior to that, candidates must complete the registration process and pay the requisite fee for registration as per their category.

• Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab and click on ‘Sign in’

• Enter the NEET UG 2025 Roll Number, Password and Security Pin

• Click on the link ‘Available Choices’.

• On clicking the “Choice Filling” icon, the choices as per individual criteria of eligibility would be displayed to the candidate on the left side basket and on clicking the button for the required choice, it will be selected. The seats chosen will be removed from the left basket and added to the right basket.

• Candidates will have to click on the ‘Save & Continue’ tab.

• Candidates may change the order of preference of choices by clicking on the Upper Arrow ./button to move up, the Down Arrow button to move down and the Delete button to delete the pre-selected choice of institutes.

• The choice Interchange (Swapping) could be carried out by selecting appropriate choices as source and destination to enable their swapping and reordering all the choices.

• If a candidate desires to delete a specific choice or a group of choices, the candidate can click the appropriate box for deletion of the choice. Further, if the candidate desires to delete multiple choices in one go, he/she can click the appropriate boxes for deletion and confirm the same, so that all unwanted choices can be deleted by this operation.

The MCC NEET Counselling Round 2 Choice Filling process is slated to begin today, September 5, 2025.

Candidates belonging to the PWD/PWBD category planning to participate in the NEET 2025 Counselling must go for the physical verification process to generate certificates at the designated verification centres by September 9, 2025, 12 noon. 

MCC has stated the following information regarding the NEET 2025 counselling NRI applicants.

• The necessary documents will be verified at the time of reporting to the allotted college. Further, colleges will send a copy of the documents submitted by the NRI candidate to MCC, which will be scrutinised by MCC and will be sent to the concerned mission/embassy for verification.
• Incomplete or false submissions will lead to the rejection of the seat.
• If the documents are found to be ‘FAKE’ at a later stage, the seat of the candidate is liable to get cancelled and action as deemed appropriate by the competent authority will be initiated against the candidate and the college.

MCC has commenced the registration process for the NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 on September 4, 2025, as per the schedule. 

The list of documents candidates must keep ready for the MCC NEET 2025 counselling process is as follows:

Regarding changing the NEET 2025 counselling password, MCC has stated, "The facility to change the password is available to signed-in applicants. Applicant will login into the system and click on the “Change Password” button. Applicant will enter the old password, new password, and confirm the new password to change the password. If old password matches and new password is as per the password policy then the form will be submitted and the password will be changed successfully."

• Keep documents ready: Certificate verification is mandatory and time-sensitive.
• Strategically fill choices: Base your options on previous cut-offs, fee structure, and college reputation.

MCC has stated, " On upgradation of a seat in the second round or third round, the earlier allotted seat in the First Round or Second round, respectively, will automatically be cancelled and allotted to another candidate. You will also have NO claim over the earlier seat. Therefore, you are advised to fill in only higher choices or any other choice which you prefer over the earlier allotted seat, for subsequent rounds of counselling."

a. Candidates who registered for Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have not reported in Round-1 need not register again.
b. Fresh New Registration for Round-2 for those candidates who have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees).

d. Process of Seat Allotment Round-2
e. Publication of result of Round-2 on the MCC website
f. Physical Reporting with original documents at the allotted Medical/Dental College against 2nd Round - (Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 2 can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 2 to round 3, for which they will have to physically report at the allotted college.)
g. If upgraded in Round 2, the candidate must take a relieving order from Round 1 seat and join Round 2 seat.
h. The candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 but do not join the allotted seat will get their security deposit.

i. Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 shall NOT have any claim on Round 1 seat.

NMC has approved the addition of 550 seats at nine Deemed Universities across India. 

NMC or the National Medical Commission, has approved an increase of 970 MBBS seats in 23 Government Medical colleges across India.

Yes, you can register in the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 2 even if you had not participated in Round 1. In that case, you have to register afresh. 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that there will be four rounds of NEET 2025 Counselling process. These are:

• Round 1
• Round 2
• Round 3
• Online Stray Vacancy Round or Round 4

The number of rounds may be increased based on the vacant seats. 

Yes, it is mandatory to enter fresh choices to be considered for the NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2, even if candidates had participated in Round 1. " If candidate does not submit fresh choice(s) during choice filling period, the candidate will not be considered for allotment of seat during Round- 2 and will retain the already allotted (joined) seat, if any," states MCC. 

MCC has stated that candidates eligible for seat allotment in the NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 will be from one of the following groups:

• Group–I: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in Round 1.
• Group-II: Registered candidates who have secured a seat and whose Round 1 allotted seat got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be
  considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category.
• Group–III: Candidates who have reported at the allotted institute during Round 1 of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.
• Group- IV: Candidates who have been allotted a seat but have Not Joined.
• Group V: Candidates who have resigned in online mode during the time frame from the allotted seat of the first round at college. 

As per a latest notice by MCC, AIIMS Mangalgiri has been removed from the list of designated PWD verification centres, as the institute is still not fully equipped to provide the required services as a disability certification centre. Hence, PwD candidates are advised not to visit AIIMS Mangalagiri for obtaining Disability Certificates. Candidates can visit other centres as per the information uploaded on the MCC website to avoid inconvenience. 

 MCC has added 13 new Disability Centres for candidates belonging to the PwD/PWBD category, where they can undergo examination and obtain their Disability Certificates to participate in the counselling process. The PwD portal for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 is now active and will remain open until 12 Noon on September 9, 2025. 

MCC has stated, "Candidates need not report or join the allotted college of Round 1 since there is a free exit. However, if they want to retain the Round 1 seat and upgrade in Round 2, they have to physically join the college of Round 1 and give up-gradation willingness for Round 2 at the time of admission."

MCC has laid down the following conditions or criteria for candidates who are willing to change nationality to NRI:

• Candidates must have appeared and qualified for NEET 2025
• Once the category is changed, candidates will no longer be eligible to avail of the benefit under the Muslim Minority quota/Jain Minority Quota/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS, or any other Quota.
• The conversion of the Nationality of candidates from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates, which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting.

The following documents have to be uploaded to the email in the following order:

i. NEET-UG Admit Card and Score Card

ii. Proof of NRI Status of the parent/relative:

• Valid Passport
• Visa / Residence Permit / Work Permit
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card / PIO card, if applicable
• NRI Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (Embassy / Indian Consulate).

iii. Certificate of Relationship between the NRI relative and the candidate issued by the competent Revenue Authority through Family Tree.

iv. Affidavit (Notarized) by the NRI relative stating that they will sponsor the entire course fee and living expenses of the candidate during the period of study duly supported by NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book.

v. 10th & 12th mark sheets + passing certificate

vi. Birth certificate

vii. Passport of candidate/ Sponsorer (optional)

MCC NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 candidates who wish to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI, must do the needful by September 4, 2025, 11 AM. The process had started on September 2, 2025, at 11 AM. They have to send the requisite documents and filled up form to ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com. 

No, only registered candidates will be allowed to fill and lock choices for the MCC NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2. Candidates who had already registered in Round 1 need not register afresh for the second round, and can directly approach towards choice filling and locking. 

In case a candidate wishes to resign the seat allotted in NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1, he or she has to follow the steps below:

• Click on the NEET UG Counselling tab
• Login using the registration credentials
• Click on the tab indicating seat resignation.

MCC has stated, “Candidates will have to report physically at the allotted college to resign their seat. Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated online (through portal provided by MCC) by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.”

The NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1 allotted seats can be resigned by candidates till September 3, 2025, 5 PM. 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has laid down the following rules for participating in the NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2:

• Candidates who registered for NEET 2025 Counselling Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have not reported in Round-1 need not register again.

No, there is no provision for candidates to pay the MCC NEET Counselling registration fee in UPI mode. Candidates have to pay the fee only through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
