UPSC IES/ISS Exam 2026 Registration Begins at upsc.gov.in; Check Details Below
UPSC has started the registration process for IES/ISS Exam 2026 for a total of 44 vacancies. Read below for more information.
The registration for UPSC Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service (IES/ ISS) Exam 2026 has started for 44 vacancies. Candidates can register at the Commission's official website upsc.gov.in.
The applications can be submitted by the March 3, 2026. Once a candidate register on the official website, a Universal Registration Number (URN) is generated which is common for all the examinations of the Commission.
Eligibility Criteria For UPSC IES/ISS Exam
Following are eligibility criteria of the exam:
- Candidates should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee. Also, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are eligible.
- They should not be less than 21 years of age and must have not attained the age of 30 years on August 1, 2026.
How to Apply for IES/ISS Exam 2026
Following are the steps students can follow to apply for the exam:
- Visit the official website upsc.gov.in.
- On homepage, click on UPSC IES/ ISS Exam 2026 registration link.
- Enter the registration details and click on submit
- Fill out the application form.
- Make the payment of application fee.
- Click on submit and download the page.
- Keep a copy for future references.
Candidates are required to pay a fee of INR 200. Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted from this fees. The fee can be paid using Net Banking Facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment.
