The six-month Certificate Programme for Nurse Managers programme will help participants:

- Collaborate with ancillary departments to ensure smooth hospital/clinical operations.

- Manage resources effectively within departments.
- Take part in accreditation, quality assurance, patient safety, and nursing audits.
The role of Nurse Managers has expanded over the years owing to the focus on nursing excellence standards and quality benchmarks such as NABH accreditation. This certification programme addresses these evolving needs by building capacity among nurse leaders across public and private health systems.
IGNOU Certificate Programme for Nurse Managers Eligibility Criteria
The IGNOU certificate programme for Nurse Managers programme requires students to be In-service nurses with 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) after 10+2, 3 years of experience, and valid RNRM registration. Also, In-service nurses with a 4-year B.Sc. Nursing degree, 2 years of experience, and valid RNRM registration are also eligible to apply.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University offer admission on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is no set seat intake at the open universities. Hence, the seat count is directly proportional to the number of applicants. IGNOU BSc seat allotment is merit-based, except for PB BSc Nursing course. For the nursing course, seats are allotted based on scores in OPENNET exam. Candidates can get a seat in the course by registering on the IGNOU admission portal in online mode.
