Qualification for Bank Jobs: Every year a large of candidates apply for various banking exams such as IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB, SBI Clerk, SBI PO, RBI Assistant, RBI Grade B and many more. To apply for these bank exams, candidates need to fulfil banking exams eligibility in terms of age limit, bank job qualification and nationality. Mostly qualification for bank jobs are different for different posts. Bank exams eligibility is that the minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years. Qualification for bank jobs is a degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

PO/MT: Any graduate can apply for this post. Selected candidates are on two-year probation and based on their performance they are confirmed for the post.

Clerical Cadre: The positions include Clerk, Clerk-Cum-Cashier, Typist, Steno, Agricultural Clerks, Data Entry Operators, Telephone Operators, etc.

Specialist Officer: SO are the skilled and specialised officers in the respective domains.

Bank Jobs After Graduation

According to banking exams eligibility, candidates apply for bank jobs after graduation only. Banking exams demand aspirants to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. Banking exams after graduation are IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS RRB, NABARD Grade A, RBI Assistant, IBPS SO, SBI SO.

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India
  • They must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
  • Candidates must be aged between 18 and 28 years. Relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates
  • Candidates must have proficiency in the local language of the state they are applying for

Disciplines/Streams for which candidates can apply under SO are Agriculture Field Officer (Scale-I), Marketing Officer (Scale-I), IT Officer (Scale-I), Law Officer (Scale-I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale-I), Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale-I), etc. The stream-wise eligibility criteria for SO is given below:

IT Officer (Scale I): Candidates must have four-year engineering/technology degree in Computer Science/IT/Computer Application/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics and Instrumentation.

Or,

Postgraduation in Computer Science / IT/ Computer Application/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics and Instrumentation.

Or,

Graduates who completed DOEACC ‘B’ level exam

Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I): Four-year graduation in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/ dairy Science/ Agricultural engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing and cooperation/ Co-Operation and Banking/ Agro-Forestry.

Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): Postgraduation in Hindi with English as a subject in graduation or postgraduation in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as a subject at graduation level.

Law Officer (Scale I): Graduation in law and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.

HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Graduation and full-time post graduate degree or full-time diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relation/ HR/ HRD/ Social Work/ Labour Law.

Marketing Officer (Scale I): Graduation and full-time MMS (Marketing)/MBA (Marketing)/Full time PGDBA/ PGDBM with specialization in Marketing.
