NABARD Recruitment to Group A post is conducted for Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS), Protocol & Security Service (P&SS), Rajbhasha Service. This is also one of the popular exams conducted by NABARD. The selection for RDBS post is done based on the preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The Selection for the P&SS post is done through the interview only.

NABARD Grade A notification 2023 was released for a total of 150 vacancies. NABARD Grade A notification PDF comprises all the essential information and details pertaining to the exam. Along with the notification, the online application form link was activated. Candidates must go through the different parameters given in the NABARD Grade A notification to frame an effective and efficient strategy for the exam. NABARD Grade A notification 2023 was released for recruitment of Assistant Managers. In the notification, candidates can check information such as exam dates, application, online, fee, eligibility, etc. The vacancies are invited for two different categories which are Protocol & Security Service (P&SS), Rajbhasha Service and Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS).

NABARD 2023 application process for Grade A post was released on September 2, 2023. The last date to submit the application form is September 23, 2023. The application fee for Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security Service) is INR 750 (application fee INR 650 + intimation charges INR 100) for General and OBC candidates while SC/ ST/PWD candidates are only required to pay the intimation charges of INR 100. The application fee for Assistant Manager (RDBS)/Rajbhasha Service is INR 800 (application fee INR  + intimation charges INR 150) while SC/ ST/ PWBD candidates are required to pay the intimation charges only of INR 150. The application process comprises several steps which candidates need to complete successfully.

NABARD Grade A eligibility comprises several parameters such as age limit, educational qualification, and others that candidates need to fulfill in order to be eligible for the exam. NABARD Grade A eligibility criteria for different posts is given below.

NABARD Grade A Educational Qualification

The basic educational qualification prescribed for NABARD Grade A is graduation. However, the educational qualification varies as per different posts. 

Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS)

(i) General

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants-55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Post Graduate degree, MBA/PGDM with a minimum of 55 per cent marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 50 per cent) in aggregate

OR

CA/ CS/ICWA OR PhD from Institutions recognized by GOI/UGC

(ii) Agriculture

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture with 60 per cent marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Post Graduate degree in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/ Agronomy) with a minimum of 55 per cent marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants-50 per cent) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.

(iii) Agriculture Engineering

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering with 60 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants-55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Postgraduate degree in Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 55 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants-50 per cent) in aggregate from a recognised University / Institution.

(iv) Animal Husbandry

Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry from any recognized University with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants-55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Post Graduate degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry with a minimum of 55 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants- 50 per cent) in aggregate.

(v) Fisheries

Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science from a recognized University/Institution with 60 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants 55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Postgraduate degree in Fisheries Science with 55 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants 50 per cent) in aggregate.

(vi) Forestry

Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from a recognized University/Institution with 60 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants-55 per cent) in aggregate

Postgraduate degree in Forestry with 55 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants – 50 per cent) in aggregate.

(vii) Plantation/Horticulture

Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from any recognized University with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants – 55 per cent) in aggregate

OR

Post Graduate degree in Horticulture with a minimum of 55 per cent marks (SC/PWBD applicants – 50 per cent) in aggregate.

(viii) Land Development-Soil Science

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with 60 per cent marks (PWBD applicants – 55 per cent) in aggregate

Post Graduate degree in Agriculture / Agriculture (Soil Science/Agronomy) with a minimum of 55% marks (PWBD applicants – 50 per cent) in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.

(ix) Water Resources

Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology /Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects with 60 per cent marks (PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate

OR

Post Graduate degree in Hydrology/Applied Hydrology or Geology/Applied Geology with Hydrogeology /Irrigation /Water Supply & sanitation as one of the subjects with 55 per cent marks in aggregate (PWBD applicants 50%) from a recognized University.

(x) Finance

BBA (Finance/Banking) / BMS (Finance/Banking) with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%)

OR

Two years full-time P.G. Diploma in Management (Finance) / Full-time MBA (Finance) degree with 55% (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 50%) from Institutions / Universities recognized by GoI /UGC with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates will be required to submit a certificate from Institution/University regarding specialization in finance

OR

Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%) OR Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution with Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

CFA.

(xi) Computer and Information Technology:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology with 60% marks (SC/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate

a post-graduate degree in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Computer Applications/Information Technology with 55% marks (SC/PWBD applicants 50%) in aggregate from a recognized university.

Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (Rajbhasha)

(i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in English or Hindi medium with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%) or equivalent in aggregate

And
(ii) PG Diploma in Translation (minimum one year) in Hindi to English and vice-versa from any recognized University. Candidates must have studied English and Hindi as subjects in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course.
Or
Master’s Degree in HINDI with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%). Candidates must have studied English as a main/ elective subject in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course.
Or
Master’s Degree in ENGLISH with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%). Candidates must have studied Hindi as a main/elective subject in at least 02 years of bachelor’s degree course. Candidates must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice/versa.

Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (Protocol & Security Service)

NABARD Grade A preparation tips contain tips and strategies that candidates need to follow while preparing for NABARD Grade A exam. The exam comprises prelims, mains and interview. As the notification has been announced, therefore, candidates must pull up their socks and start preparing for NABARD Grade A 2022. It is important to have a well-organised to priortise the important topics to be covered for the exam. To perform beyond candidate's abilities, they need to follow the tips given below:

NABARD Grade A Syllabus 2023 includes the topics and sub-topics for prelims and mains exams. The syllabus for the prelims exam comprises topics from Test of Reasoning, Decision Making, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India), and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India). The syllabus for mains exam carries topics from General English, Economic and Social Issues & Agriculture & Rural Development (ESI & ARD), and stream-specific subjects.

NABARD Grade A exam pattern is such that it is divided into three phases-prelims, mains, and interview. The prelims exam comprises eight sections and carries 200 marks. The qualifying sections in the prelims exam are Test of Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making. The merit sections are General Awareness, Eco & Soc. Issues (with focus on Rural India), Agriculture & Rural Development with Emphasis on Rural India. The shortlisting of candidates for the mains exam will be done based on the marks secured in the merit section only. Candidates in the ratio of 1:25 are selected for the mains exam. The mains exam comprises both MCQ and Descriptive type papers. Paper I of the mains exam is a descriptive type paper while Paper II comprises both MCQ and descriptive type papers. Each paper is for 100 marks. The total marks allotted to the interview are 50 marks.

NABARD Grade A admit card is released online by NABARD. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required credentials. NABARD Grade A serves as an important document as it contains all the details related to the exam. Candidates are not given entry without the admit card.

NABARD Grade A Selection Process

NABARD Grade A selection process for RDBS/Rajbhasha service comprises prelims, mains and interview. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature. The provisional allotment is done on the basis of the marks scored in the mains exam and interview round. The candidates initially selected have to undergo a probation period of NABARD Grade A post for two years. All candidates selected for appointment by the bank are liable to be posted and transferred anywhere in India.

NABARD Grade A Exam Centre

The prelims exam of NABARD Grade A will be conducted at around 160 exam cities while the mains exam will be conducted at around 21 exam cities. The interview will be conducted at the various regional offices of NABARD. Candidates can select only one NABARD exam centre each for prelims and mains exam while filling the application form.

NABARD Grade A result is announced online in PDF form. The result PDF displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The scorecards for all the stages are released along with the final result. To download the scorecard, candidates need to enter roll number and date of birth.

Assistant Manager in Grade A is entitled to a basic INR 28,150 per month on the scale of INR 28150-1550 (4)-34350-1750 (7)-46600-EB-1750 (4)-53600-2000 (1)-55600 Candidates are also given Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance. At present, the initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately INR 70,000.
