When I passed class 10th, I was not the one to decide the stream for myself. I belonged to a rural area where most of people do not have such kind of knowledge. My teacher told me that I was very curious about things, so Science would be the perfect subject for me. Then, I thought that he was right because he was the best teacher. So, I chose Science, with Biology as the option. One important reason behind it was my school had the Biology stream and I did not want to leave that school, so I chose Science.

I completed class 12th in 2014. Now, the next question was getting the stream of Science and the college which would be the best for me. In my city i.e. Udaipur, one college was well-known and famous; University College of Science. Most of my teachers were alumni of that college. So, I decided to pursue my higher education. The Mohanlal Sukhadia University was popular with the name MB Science College.

My Admission Journey

Admission at University College of Science are based on the merit rank which is again based on marks in class 12th subjects. So first of all, I filled the admission form. The next step was to submit its hard copy to the college. But I did not know about the college campus. When I went there to submit the hard copy of admission form, I reached the Arts College by mistake. I searched everywhere but there was no Science stream, and then I asked a teacher for directions. He told me that the Science College was at another place. So, I hired an auto to the destination and submitted the said hard copy of the admission form.

In our college, the admission process is based on class 12th marks, not via entrance exam. I had good marks in class 12th, so my rank was also good in the merit list and I easily got my subject and admission in the first round of counselling.

I never took assistance from any coaching institute for preparation. Even in class 12th, I did not require any external assistance.

According to me, the best way to prepare for the entrance test is self-study. Most of the colleges take the entrance test based on the class 12th syllabus, so if you want to crack the entrance test, please work hard in class 12th and try to understand the basic concepts of all subjects. If you follow this, you will surely succeed.

Tips for getting admission- First of all, you have to choose the right subject. Then, select the best college for that subject and fill the form. Then, take the entrance test and apply all your concepts in the exam.

My College Life

My college life was awesome, and that was my life’s golden period. The first day of my college was very important and a special day in my life. During school days, we always used to go there with our parents, but in the college, I went alone, excited as well as nervous. I was nervous because the college was new for me and all the students were new, as my other friends did not take admission in this college. On the first day, I reached the college before the class timings. I was alone, and each and every face was new for me. Then, there was this boy I found in solitude, so I went to ask his name and class. Fortunately, we both were in the same class and I had finally made a friend there, so then, my heartbeat was normal. After that, we went off to the classroom, but we did not attend the first class. The next day, we attended the class and it was an introduction session for us.

Each day of my college came up with new learnings. We had lots of fun, lots of birthday parties, election parties, etc. We missed lots of classes too. When the teacher took the attendance and was about to start his session, we slipped in through the back gate just in time and made it there. We faced many boring teachers but now, I miss all of them. Those 3 years were the golden years of my life. We did lots of study and fun too. I really miss those days.

Yes, college education helps in making our career bright, and one right step in college education can change your life. So, please choose the right subject and do not follow what your friends choose. You need to choose your subject based on your choices and interests, not what others choose. When you are doing any work, devote your whole life to it like you worship it.
