Calicut University

Calicut University is one of the well-known universities in Kerala. The Department of Psychology was established in 1976 and has created awareness about the nature and applications of Psychology in a short period. Admission Process: The candidate will have to apply online on the official website of Christ University. Christ University also accepts Common University Eligibility Test (CUET) scores for their psychology programmes. Shortlisted candidates will also have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) or Group Discussion (GD). Candidates who clear the two rounds will have to attend the counselling session to complete the admission formalities.

Indian Institute of Psychology and Research (IIPR)

Another one of the many well-known institutes recognised for its academic excellence in the field of Psychology, the Indian Institute of Psychology and Research (IIPR) offers students admission to UG and PG courses in the field of Psychology. Through an MSc in Psychology at IIPR, students get to study theory along with laboratory practicals and field experience. The course trains students with the required qualifications and skills to work as Psychologists. The course structure is as follows:

This autonomous college offers an MSc Counselling Psychology programme. The objective of this course is to demonstrate the knowledge of psychology in the field of counselling. Just like other MSc Psychology courses, this course is also 2-year long. The curriculum of this course covers the basics of psychology and more advanced topics like Educational Counselling, Family Counselling, Addiction Counselling, Crisis Intervention and Trauma Counselling, Medical Counselling, Organisational Behaviour and Workplace Counselling, etc. spread across the duration of four semesters.
