No, BSc admission at Fergusson College is merit-based. The college conducts entrance exams for PG admissions. However, for UG admissions (BA, BSc, BVoc), admission is granted to eligible applicants based on their Class 12 merit, chosen specialisation and availability of seats. Hence, Fergusson College BSc aspirants are not required to appear for any entrance exam.
Periyar Maniammai University students are eligible to apply for scholarships under various categories. Some of the PMU scholarships are Merit Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Farmers & Weavers Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, etc. Students can apply for these scholarships while filling out the registration form for course admission.
