Admission to the BSc course at Calicut University is entrance-based. The minimum eligiblity required to apply for the course is Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 45%-70% from a recognised university. However, as admissions are entrance-based, students are required to secure a valid score in the accepted entrance exams such to be eligible for the BSc course admission. The overall highest package offered during the placements 2025 was INR 35 LPA, which was in the Corporate sector. In Development sector, the highest package offered was INR 17 LPA. The University has released the sector-wise highest salary for 2024. In the Corporate sector, the 2024 highest package offered was INR 35 LPA and in the Development sector, it stood at INR 20 LPA. 

From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper.

The B.Sc placements in Karpagam academy of higher education can be considered average. In 2021 out of all the students enrolled in B.Sc program 62% were placed in various companies. In 2022 out of all the students enrolled about 59 percent were placed. The average package offered for this course was about 2 lakhs in 2021 and 2.3 lakhs in 2022 (approximately 19k per month)

So, though the average package increased from 2021 to 2022, there is a drop in the number of students getting placed.
