The college has great infrastructure, and faculty-wise, you can really learn everything.
Placements: Usually, 30-40% of students from the whole University get their placement. They want at least a 7.5 CGPA for eligibility. Top companies are TCS, Infosys, HCL, and Wipro. From my course, a total of 20% got internships at Wipro. The roles offered are usually intern and consultant.
Infrastructure: The environment is good. Buildings have great design and architecture. Well-furnished and air-conditioned labs. Classrooms are also properly cleaned, big, and have multiple fans. The library contains almost every book for educational purposes. The hostel is great. There are many buildings. Sports are good. There is a really big stadium with a field and a big cafeteria where you can get all the food. The mess food is sometimes good, sometimes decent.
Faculty: Teachers are professionals in their respective fields. They have all the knowledge a teacher needs. The curriculum offers the best subjects required to complete my course. Semester exams are decent. If you study well, then you can do the exam. It's not like they are really difficult.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest and also seeing its future scope. I would love it if all the classes had AC and interactive panels. There are many events, and scholarships will also be given. The management is good.

Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology: a great place to get knowledge.
Placements: There were 97 students in my batch, and about 23 were in different institutions and laboratories. The highest package was INR 25,000 for a student selected in a laboratory. And there were a huge number of students selected for summer internships at the biotech park in Lucknow. I myself also got the opportunity to work as an online intern at CSIR-NEIST.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is great. All the basic facilities are available in the department. Well-developed classrooms and auditoriums are there. The hostel is also available for students of all departments at the university. A central library, mess health care center, swimming pool, and sports court are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are great, having good knowledge and control over their specific area and subject. And of course, the course is very curriculum-relevant. Exams are conducted annually. And now, in semester terms, the passing percentage is 40 percent aggregate for theory and practical.

I am not satisfied with our college because of placements.
Placements: Our college offers placement to only some students at the graduation level and that too in sales and lab assistance.
Infrastructure: The quality of food is not good and they take care of students, but the clever ones do their unnecessary activities. They roamed here and there without permission or by lying, and the discipline is sometimes not good in the boys' hostel. They did what they wanted.
Faculty: Faculty members never take charge or are responsible for anything. They never pay attention to students. The passing percentage is 40. After writing a satisfactory answer, they won't give good marks, and the percentage decreases. Your percentages will automatically decrease from high school and intermediate.
Other: Scholarships are provided, but I didn't get it the whole 3 years. Events are good and the surroundings are good to be there in and spend time in. Extracurricular activities are available, and you can participate if you want.

It is a poor college for undergraduate courses.
Placements: Placements in our college were poor. None of the major companies visited the campus for placements. Most of the students go unplaced. Placements were only offered to the engineering students and that too only for the computer science engineering branch. Placement opportunities were provided through pool campus drives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but it needs maintenance. Classrooms need to be improved. Moreover, the college is in dire need of an IT infrastructure. The quality of the food served in the mess and canteen is pathetic, and it also lacks in hygiene.
Faculty: Faculty members are allotted to each subject and course, but classes are not conducted regularly due to several reasons. The course curriculum needs to be improved as it doesn't provide any industry-ready skills. The focus is on students just get passed out of college. They are not making them industry ready and job competent.

Overall, the college is a good place to study.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. Students with good knowledge are placed in good companies with good salaries. Mostly companies with marketing workforce visit our college. Our senior batch students have been placed in good companies. The average package offered is around 2-3 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. The campus is provided with good infrastructure, and the new building is maintained nicely by the college maintenance members. The campus is provided with Wi-Fi facility, and many inter-college matches and sports are organised in the college campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite helpful. They provide all the knowledge required to students. Teachers are well-qualified and educated. They use modern education methods to teach students like projectors and all. Students are also given industry exposure.
Other: Many events and fests are held in the campus, and many sports tournaments are also held. Scholarships are probably provided to the needy students.

Best college for biotech in up.
Placements:
I joined college in 2025 through CUET. The batch I have joined is an integrated B.Sc+M.Sc in biotechnology, which is a 5-year research-oriented course. Many pass-outs prefer to go for higher studies, but others are choosing to sit in placements. Our department has a placement cell, and many companies like Cipla, Sun Pharma, and others come to recruit pass-outs. The lowest package offered is around 2.5 LPA, the average pay is around 4 LPA, and the highest package was 7 LPA. 35% of students have internships in the research wing of Anand Dairy and pharma companies.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is very good at CSJMU. It is located in the heart of Kanpur, near IIT Kanpur, and has good connectivity through road and metro. It has a metro station (Vishwavidyala) outside of GATE. CSJMU has a large campus sizeof over 200 acres with facilities like a canteen, swimming pool, gym, auditorium, labs, park, and individual administrative buildings for different departments. Hostel facilities are also available, including a mess with 24/7 electricity and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with an emergency ambulance service. CSJMU is a ragging-free campus.
Faculty: The faculty are well-qualified and helpful people. The curriculum is updated with new advancements in this field as guided by the Ministry of Higher Education. Questions in semester exams are quite average, and the minimum qualifying percentage is 33.5. The college will not make you industry-ready.
Other: Biotech is a developing field in India with less crowd and more opportunities, and in foreign countries, it is booming as one of the highest-paying fields. The best thing about this course is that you get a chance to study both technology and Biology. It can be improved if the demand for and supply of play and demand get high in the market, and the government should encourage and fund its development. No such events are happening here as in other universities, but we have cultural shows and fresher and farewell parties every year. The campus is overall good and clean. Scholarships are available on a merit basis, need-based, and for female candidates around October.

It is a good college for average students with low fees.
Placements: Placements in the B.Sc course are average and not very strong. Around 25-30 percent of students get placed from the course. Most students go for higher studies or search for jobs on their own. The average package offered ranges from 2-3 LPA. The highest package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The lowest offered ranges from 1.5-2 LPA. Some private and local companies come for placements. Very few students get internships, mostly in small private companies. Common job roles offered are lab assistant, office executive, sales work, and data entry-type jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. Classrooms are simple. Labs are available. Not all equipment is new, still workable. The library has basic books related to the course, but limited recent books. Wi-Fi facility is available, but the speed is sometimes slow. Hostel facilities are average, and rooms are manageable. Mess food is simple and okay, not very good, but acceptable for students.
Faculty: Teachers are average but helpful in nature. Some teachers are very good and explain topics clearly, while others are just okay. Overall, the teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is mostly theory-based and not fully industry-ready. Students need to do extra courses or self-study to get job-ready skills. Semester exams are not very tough if we study regularly. Questions are mostly from the syllabus. The pass percentage is around 70-80 percent, so passing exams is not very difficult. Their teaching is normal.
Other: I chose this course because it is affordable and suitable for students from village and middle-class backgrounds. The best thing about this course is the low fees and simple syllabus, which helps students prepare for competitive exams and higher studies. The course gives basic knowledge of Science subjects. Some things should be improved, like more practical work, an updated syllabus, and better placement support. Campus surroundings are calm and connected to the city. Small events and activities happen sometimes, but there are no big fests. Scholarships are available for eligible students, which is helpful.

Students enjoy learning, playing, attending fests, programs, seminars, and having good food.
Placements: 40% of students were placed in my course. The average package varied from 1.2 LPA to 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course were Tata Group, HiTech, Airtel, Toluna, and educational services. Over 40% of students got internships from my course at these big companies.
Infrastructure: We had a very good atmosphere in the hostel, free Wi-Fi 24/7, big theatre-style classrooms, and a vast library. Hostel mess food and canteen food were also good and healthy, cooked in clean areas. Medical facilities were good. Sports and games were compulsory as they were important for health. Sports facilities trained students for the national level.
Faculty: All professors had doctorate degrees in their subjects and good experience. Their teaching techniques were very good and made tough topics easy. Students could opt for courses according to their interests. Semester exams covered the syllabus, and questions ranged from easy to tough, which prepared students for every situation. Almost 90% was the pass percentage.
Other: I chose my course because of my interest in the subject. It would have been better if we had done more practical work. The campus was very big, and the college hosted events, fests, and programs. Scholarships were provided if students were eligible.
