Indian students who wish to study at Aalto Uni for free can do that if they can secure a 100% merit scholarship to study in Finland.

Without a scholarship however, it is not possible to study at Aalto Uni for free. The university does not offer exemptions on tuition costs to Indian students on a Finland student visa.

Yes, in addition to the tuition and living costs in Finland, students also need to pay a Student Union fee worth EUR 66 (INR 7.2 K) and a student healthcare fee worth EUR 70 (INR 7.63 K) per year.

The student union fee can be paid via the Aalto University Oodi system while the healthcare fee is paid directly to Kela via the Omakela online service.

Yes, Aalto Uni offers several online fee-based courses to students via its official website. The online degrees carry the same value as an offline degree plus these are even more affordable.

However, the university offers limited online courses to its students. These are available in areas like Economy, Business, Technology, Architecture, and Creativity. To know more check the official Aalto Uni Finland website.

English is spoken in most parts of Finland. The Aalto Uni campus is fully trilingual (Finnish, English, and Swedish is spoken). It is not mandatory for Indian students to learn Finnish. However, it is very much recommended to fully enjoy life.

Learning Finnish helps in building social connections and also considered positively by recruiters when looking for jobs.

High-quality practical education, a safe study environment, and clean air is what Indian students get in Finland. However, adapting to the cold winters may take some time.

Carrying proper warm clothing and multivitamins is advised as sunlight is less during the winters. Locals have a reserved nature, they like their personal space but are helpful at times.

Universities like Aalto Uni offer students a practical learning environment where one can builld projects, solve problems, and improve their interpersonal skills.
