Hello Nived,
The trends last year indicate that aeronautical branch was the most sought after branch. KCET cutoffs were much stringent compared with civil or mechanical branches. But how the trend takes shape is anybody's guess. It may change or continue in same direction. But i suppose if you have 50 percentile then perhaps your chances will improve in getting branch of your choice.

For admission in Aeronautical Engineering you have to clear class 12 with physics, chemistry and maths with minimum 50% marks. For admission in I. T You have to clear class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks. For ST/SC candidate 5% relaxation is given. Regards.

Hello Prem, Aeronautical engineering is quite the preferred subject of many aspirants of engineering college. To get admission In IIT Mumbai, you really need to score high. In other colleges and states too a student needs to score reasonably well to get admission.

Hello Aadil, Its very nice to see your dream of studying abroad. But getting admission abroad after Diploma is tough proposition. Normally 12 years of school education, college education begins. In India some institutions do consider Diploma as equivalent to 12th but many don't. Hence I would advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad for knowing different nuances in this issue.

Hello Afraz, Even though I am seeing your query very late but I felt its still relevant and hence will try to solve the puzzle. Management Quota in a private unaided engineering college is restricted normally to 5% of intake. But fees charged, process of admission etc. All are closely guarded secrets. You will have to approach the management to get to know procedure. Best wishes.

Hello Akshat,
Scholastic Aptitude Test or SAT is the exam to be cleared before taking up undergraduate courses in USA. It was introduced almost 90 years back and is still surviving. COmmercial Pilot Licence or CPL is a different and one needs to join flying school to get this. But yes, for BS in US, one needs to clear SAT.
