Start preparing for IIT, there are also some top rated private colleges too. But I will suggest you to take a step forward, clear your mathematics, prepare for IIT, this will make your basics stronger then you will succeed in your field wherever you will study.

Hello Sachin,
Normally speaking, one needs diploma in the particular branch to be eligible for admission in engineering in that particular branch. However, many states and Institutions including IIT's accept diploma as equivalent to 12th and hence you can take admission to any branch of your choice in first year, after following due process.

Dear Khanisk,
If you are interested in aerospace, please join IIT or NIT or go abroad for studies. Most of the best is doing aerospace engineering in abroad like USA, UK, etc. Aircraft industry in India is not developed so there is limited chance of getting job in India.

Hello Sachin,
Many state governments have accepted equivalence of diploma with 12th. Hence on the basis of diploma you can seek admission in first year of any branch after of course following due process. Question of eligibility will arise if you are seeking admission in second year via lateral admission process. Here you need to refer to the particular University for getting clarity since many Universities follow different paths.

Many colleges are quite strict about the age criteria, you need to check the eligibility with the desired colleges for admission in diploma.

Hello Fakruddin,
Yes, it's perfectly possible to take admission in any IIT based on your Diploma. Just remember, IITs consider Diploma to be equivalent to class 12th and hence you will get admission in the first year provided you meet all other criteria.

Each course has its own pros and cons. Some people find aeronautical engineering tough while others find a course in architecture tougher. You should pursue a course where your interests lie, and one which you feel comfortable doing/studying.
