An aircraft maintenance engineer keeps aircraft in working order through maintenance, repairs and inspections. The Federal Aviation Administration, or FAA, regulates mechanical work on aircraft, and individuals entering this field must meet specific training and certification requirements. Aircraft maintenance engineers must be prepared to carefully follow FAA regulations and work long hours on emergency repairs.

Aeronautical is a better option than aerospace engineering.

Petroleum Engineering & Aeronautical Engineering are neiche branches therefore career opportunities are limited in comparison to CSE and core engineering branches. With drop in crude oil prices in international market, Petroleum industries is in challenged state now. I am of the opinion that this is a temporary phenomenon. Aeronautical Engineering in India is more of Government or PSU based. But with opening of defence sector to private, jobs in AE field are likely to increase.

The scope for aircraft maintenance engineering is good. But initially you will find it difficult to make career but future is doing definitely bright. Also you may get lots of options as aviation industry will grow in near future. Also the salary package is good once you gain experience.

Shubham, an institute is an institute and if you are a good student then you can learn and extract knowledge from which ever institute you study. The name & fame of an institute helps only till you get your first job or may be afor couple of quick changes later. But if you learn well and begin to show your skills then even lesser known institute would not come in your way of good career if you study from them. if you have alternative then please menton that so that comparisions can be made. If there isn o other option then please go ahead with this Institute itself.
