There are lot of Institutes which offer degree course on Aeronautical Engineering. You can chose between IIT Mumbai, PEC Chandigarh, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Manipal Institute of Technology, Amity Institute of Aerospace.

Yes aeronautical engineering here is pretty good. There are a lot of facilties and even the professors are good. Yes, we have NCC in the college.

You may evaluate Amity for Aeronautical Engineering. It has good faculty who are Ex DRDO and Indian Air Force.

A course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a degree but a license course and only those institutes approved by the DGCA can impart training in this subject.
This training course is rigorous and only a few institutes offer training on heavy aircraft and jet engines.

Aerospace Engineering is a much broader branch of study when compared with aeronautical engineering. The word “space” itself defines it. Aeronautical engineering is a narrow branch which is limited to the study of the design of the aircraft's while aerospace engineering is the study of all the space

There is common entrance exam called the Manipal University Online Entrance Test. Based on the results you can choose the branch you want.

To become a pilot, you've to go for pilot training. To become a scientist you can go for Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.

Aeronautical engineering in there in only a few selected colleges in India. Manipal is by far one of the best colleges for it. The professors are very passionate and knowledgeable about the subjects. We have machines which are only there in IIT's. The labs are amazing. You can do a lot of experiment
