Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 13974 and closing rank was 16658. Cut offs are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to BTech in Civil Engineering at IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 14290. In 2023, it increased to 14593. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 5090 to 5488 for OBC, 2623 to 2774 for SC, 1206 to 1359 for ST, 2173 to 2472 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Chemical Engineering at IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology for other than General category are - 5488 for OBC, 2774 for SC, 1359 for ST, 2472 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
