Your class 10th and class 12th marks at the time of placement only, they make you eligible for a particular company as per the marks requirement by company in order to get eligible for interview. Getting Job or placed only depends on your skills that you will gain during your B.Tech studies. Not only class 12th marks but class 10 marks percentage is also very much important for off campus placements. According to your mark, you are eligible for every government job exam. While there will be only problem when some companies keep condition that candidates marks in class 10th and 12th should be above 60 percent and this is not with every private job in engineering. In general, most companies do not really consider 10th or 12th board marks too much. Most times, the CGPA or percentage you get throughout your college years matters. There is no great weightage of 10th or 12th marks in the overall selection process. Most companies do not mind even if you have repeated a year. The very important parameters that are considered during campus placements are your grades, your knowledge, your projects and your training experience factor in the decision making process. But award of caution here. Many states have restricted admissions to the domiciles of the state and also many states have prescribed their own entrance examination for admissions to engineering colleges. Over and about this deemed to be universities conduct their own entrance examination. I would advise you to have a look at this aspects also before you decide to take admission in a particular college or an institution. Hello Siddi Yonzon, more than 12 00 colleges are offering this branch of engineering. But I am afraid that what you are seeking is just not available. Normally speaking centrally funded technical institutes base their admissions on ranking obtained in JEE Mains examination. The majority of the states across India conduct some or the other entrance test to give admission to their respective engineering colleges, the exception being Tamil Nadu. This is the case also for many or almost all deemed to be cities across India. Hence you will realize that your desire to become a biotechnologist can be fulfilled only and only if you appear for one of the entrance examinations.
