The University is yet to release the 2024 placement data. Earlier, out of all the UG courses, the highest number of students were placed in BTech. On the other hand, PG (2-year) courses recorded the highest number of students placed during 2023 placements. The separate placement data for ECE has not been released yet. However, the University has disclosed the overall placement details for BTech. The placement rate for PG (3-year) and PG (5-year) courses has been fluctuating over the past three years. On the other hand, the placement rate for PG (2-year) courses was the same in 2021 and 2022, however it increased in 2023. The University has not released the Calcutta University CSE average package or branch-wise placement statistics 2023 for BTech. However, as per the combined details available in the NIRF report 2024, a total of 199 students were placed during Calcutta University BTech placements 2023. The median package offered to BTech students was INR 10 LPA. Earlier, 305 BTech students were placed in 2022 and the median package stood at INR 9.20 LPA.
