The field is small, you are right the pay is not as high as many jobs. A Ph.D. will lead you to maximum hiring prospects. You may consider completing your doctoral degree and have a career in research and academics in this area. Greece, China, Korea, Europe, UAE almost every country has it's own demands and needs. Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii are some states with very good prospects. Go through news and business journals. Read this

Enroll in course like Computer Science Engineering, B.Sc. Computer Science or any other computer related course. Take game development as a hobby. You can learn it from Youtube, Udemy and various online platforms. Develop your own games. Start simple don't start with a big projects like MMORPG. Learn as much as you can. Publish your own game on play store or app store or other platforms. Learn marketing as well. Try to make your own game a hit. See, practically speaking, all course will give you better job opportunity until unless you have the fruit in you and your shall be determined. But BE specialisation in computer Science or IS/IT will suite your requirements. Again, it is not that you can only get job doing engineering. There are many engineering graduates every year. Taking into consideration only a few get good job. There are also many other courses like BBA, B.Com. Thing is you should not run behind money rather you should what where you belong to and what you're determined to become.

There is no option in this field before doing 10th from any recognise board. The minimum qualification for admission in Diploma is 10th.

If you want to pursue ECE then try your hands on robotics and embedded system learn their basics, try to build some hardware projects. You will see the power of IC chip in this digital world. Also, there is no problem to learn app development it will give you a sharp edge, as you can mix well with electronics and can also make the software interface for users.
