The admissions in IIMs are based on percentile obtained in Common Admission test (A Management Entrance Test). The academic performance, Group discussion, Personal Interview, Work experience and Extra curricular activities are the other parameters considered in selection of the candidates. For admission point of view you have to obtain at lest 98 percentile in CAT exam. While the minimum cutoff is above 80 percentile. In academic performance, the marks are given according to the percentage obtained in class 10th, class 12th and in graduation. Hence, you are not getting the full marks for your academic performance.

You can opt an option for BBA, if you want to go in a sales and marketing because this is only the best option, because this course is directly related to that field in which you want to go.

At this score, no chance to get a call for PGDM, but a decent chance for PGDM IB & FM programme at FORE School of Management.

Hi,
It will be difficult to get calls from most of the IIMs. Gentle rally the cut off is around 90+ percentile. But you might get calls from recently opened IIMs like IIM-Jammu, IIM-Amritsar, IIM-Bodhgaya.
All the best.

Surely not, because 88 percentile is not much good for NIT Trichy and also 75 % and above is required in class 12th.
