Students can get admission in AKTU even if they have RT in Chemistry. Candidates must pass at least five subjects and clear the minimum aggregate percentage required by the university. The minimum percentage required to be eligible for AKTU admission is 45% in Class 12. Although RT in Chemistry may prevent aspirants from taking specific courses like BPharm or Biotech, which list Chemistry as a mandatory subject.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate to apply for BSc (Hons) Chemistry at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore. Students with more than 70% in PCM get scholarship on the fees.
