I did MBA from Lovely Professional University, and my experience at LPU was amazing, LPU is helping me grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. I remember, In my class there were 67 students from Africa and they used to wear shorts, jeans and all but being a student of Mittal School of Business, they followed dress code policy during seminars, professional enhancement classes, workshops etc. Girls or boys can wear anything they want. Plus you can keep any kind of hairstyle you wish. There is no rule for that in university. As it is situated in Punjab and students from Africa as well as the North-Eastern part of India also study at LPU so you can imagine the fashion trend that goes inside the campus. If you are into fashion and modeling you can pursue your career in that as well. You will have both legal and moral support from the university, as most students fear the management and hence you would never experience CAT-calls or teasing for fear of getting expelled. In case you would like to explore new trends, DSA provides ample space for your modeling endeavors by supporting you both financially and morally. However, as per academic professionalism, girls and boys both need to follow the dress code policy which has been introduced in our academic system. There is no restriction for Dresses. During Placement drives, internship drives, industrial visits, guest lectures, PEP classes, etc. And on any other formal occasion, both need to be in formals. You should be in formal. One should no wear bathroom slippers in the departments. Students should not wear shorts in the departments. (By departments, I mean the buildings where your classes are going to be held! )
During your practicals (except Computer Science/IT and ECE/EEE/EE practicals), you have to wear a labcoat for the duration of the practicals. On interviews and during the classes :
You must be in a formal attire - formal shirt, pants, leather shoes, tie, and a leather belt (and a formal suit, if in winter!). One must be well groomed, too. (Clean Shaven or well trimmed facial hair for guys and neatly tied hair for girls. ). .
