At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology:
- Main campus = better faculty, exposure, peer group
- Stronger placement opportunities
- More companies + better overall environment
Dera Bassi campus is newer, so:
- Fewer opportunities comparatively
- Placements are okay but not at Patiala level
Even in 2020, most top companies and higher packages were centered around the Patiala campus.
So if you have the choice → CSE Patiala > CSE Dera Bassi 👍

Yeah, Thapar does have that board merit route with JEE as a tiebreaker.
For CSE at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, it's quite competitive even through boards.
Rough idea:
- You usually need around 95–97%+ in PCM to be safe
- With 93–95%, chances become borderline (depends on year)
- JEE percentile helps only in tie situations
Cutoffs fluctuate every year based on demand, but CSE is always the highest.
So if your board % is very strong, you've got a shot — otherwise it gets tough 👍

Along with modern teaching methodologies and a diverse learning environment, LPU prepares students for stron

At Lovely Professional University, eligibility for M.Sc Agriculture (like Agronomy) mainly requires a relevant bachelor's degree in agriculture or a closely related field. If you are a B.Sc 3rd year student, your eligibility depends on your subjects. If your degree is B.Sc Agriculture or in allied fields like horticulture, forestry, or similar life sciences with strong agriculture background, then you are eligible. But if your B.Sc is general (like PCM or basic sciences without agriculture subjects), then direct admission to M.Sc Agriculture may not be possible, and you may need to check specific subject requirements.

BS. BEd is the best option. It has the highest demand in schools (science teachers are always needed) Better salary is given compared to arts and commerce teachers. More career flexibility (teaching + higher studies like MSc). Schools prefer candidates who can teach Maths/Science
