Lovely Professional University does offer 1-seater hostel rooms, not just the usual shared ones. For the 2026–27 session, the standard 1-seater AC room generally comes to about ₹1.53 lakh per year if you use the early decision benefit, and around ₹1.63 lakh without that. Then again, 1-seater studio apartments tend to be pricier, usually in the ₹1.9–2 lakh per year range.
These charges usually come with some fixed free electricity units, so electricity is partly covered, but the mess charges are separate, so you will have to pay that differently.

No, CAT is not compulsory for MBA admission at Lovely Professional University. Students can take admission either through LPUNEST, or through national-level management exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or NMAT, depending on their situation. If you already have a valid CAT or MAT or XAT or CMAT, or NMAT score, you might not need to appear for LPUNEST. Otherwise LPUNEST works as the main entry and scholarship test for MBA admissions at LPU, then there is a video essay process and an interview phase too.
