Yes, you can pursue PG Diploma in banking after completing B.Com.
To get into Banking sector, the eligibility criteria required for Exams is Graduation. So, after completing B.Com, you can apply for Banking Exams like: IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, IBPS RRB, etc.

Lateral entry is possible after completing Diploma. The lateral entry in 2nd year is restricted to similar branch. If you want to change the branch, then you would have to appear for CET exam and get admission in 1st year.

There is no common entrance exam for lateral entry admission in B.Tech after completing Diploma in engineering. Many states conduct LEET exam for lateral entry admission for B.Tech. There are some private universities such as Manipal University, which conduct their own entrance exam for lateral entry for B.Tech.

Yes, after completing your Diploma, you can pursue BE in IIT or NIT. You can apply through lateral entry and get direct admission in 2nd year. You will have to fill the form for lateral entry and appear for an entrance exam.

Yes, it will be a good option to pursue post graduate Diploma instead of MBA. But, you won't be able to apply for government recruitment exams. So, I would suggest you to pursue MBA. To work in a private sector, you will need experience along with your degree.
