If you are considering a change in profession from engineer to designer it is worth considering. Unlike engineering, designing field is different. You need to develop lateral thinking, there is no right answer in designing, it is always about finding different ways of approaching a question rather than a straight path. No complex calculations (if you are designing luminaries, there are few, but I can't call them complex). Here are the things you will learn if you choose interior designing. You will enjoy the course if you are really passionate about it. You will learn there are many ways to approach a problem and there are many answers to the same question
You learn to appreciate the designs. You learn the detailing. You will miss the routine that is found in engineering, since every project is different and every project is a new challenge. You will learn designers are late bloomers. Designing is fun but you will find that will pay you less. Your experience in civil engineering will not help you a bit in interior designing. Opportunities as a designer are less compared to engineer. My advice would be it is your life so your call. None can help you there. You can choose this field or you can be an engineer. Good luck.

The fee for the course varies from INR 10,000 to INR 2.1 Lacs across various colleges and universities across the country. The variation in the fee is based on the location and type of university that is private/deemed or government. PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy course admissions is done on merit basis that is the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in graduation or equivalent level. Colleges/Institutes offering the course demand a minimum of 50% marks (Relaxable for reserved category candidates) at graduation or equivalent level in order to accord admissions in the course. TS ECET exam is conducted for Diploma & B.Sc (Mathematics) holders who are seeking lateral central admission into various B.E/B.Tech courses. Eligibility Criteria for admission to the course is-
Candidates should have completed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology or any other equivalent degree or candidates should have passed 3-year B.Sc. Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state. Candidates should have qualified for the exam with at least 45 percent marks and the qualifying marks for reserved categories is 40 percent. The cutoff for admission varies every year from college to college. Therefore it would be difficult to tell you about the cutoff or the marks required for admission.
