Yes, it is possible as per the UGC regulations. IT is known as concurrent admission. Universities, such as Bharthiar and Madras University promotes concurrent admission system. Through this, a student can pursue 2 courses simultaneously, one at the college and another through distance / collaborative education mode.

Hi,
If you are working professional, then distance learning may be the good option because of time constrains, but if you are fresher or unemployed, than in my opinion you should go with regular study. Because, there are so many issues and doubts, which cannot be clear through the distance mode and most important the required pace and motivation cannot be attained through the distance mode. Further, you are also eligible for regular B.Tech lateral entry scheme, there are many colleges offers admission in 2nd year to diploma holders. So, you may look this aspect also. Good Luck.
