Every college is different and hence, the admission criterion also varies. Do not lose hope, apply for the course in which you want to enrol.
There are many colleges where the distance courses are provided.
But you need to check the eligibility criteria of the college before applying and you can check the same on their website.

I would strongly advise against of even thinking of doing engineering via distance, since it is illegal presently. Yes, you can think of lateral admission, if you can sustain yourself & family for three years on your savings, without any job.
